Hi everyone,
I''ve been browsing this forum for a couple weeks now and I have learned so much, so thank you everybody! I''ve really narrowed down what my priorities are when coming to the 4C''s. Here is what my ideal diamond would be in order of importance to me:
Round Brilliant
Price: ~$5,000
1.25ct - 1.5ct (at least 7mm in width)
Cut: Ideal/Excellent -- I think H&A is out of my price range, but I want as close to a perfect cut as possible
Color: I/J -- I''d prefer a better color grade, but that would put me out of my price range
Clarity: I just want it to be as eye clean as possible so I''m hoping to find an eye clean SI1/SI2
Just to clarify some more, I''m in my mid 20''s and not seeking the most perfect colored, clear cut diamond out there. I want something that looks rather large, sparkles very well in the light, and doesn''t have any big noticeable inclusions or anything noticeably strange about it. I''m also just starting my search so I do not have any need to make a decision within the next couple days or anything, but I don''t want to pass up on a good diamond for the right price if I find one.
My local store sent me these certificates of diamonds that they thought would fit my description. I checked and they both score under a HCA 2.0. The problem is that they are in there virtual inventory and would need them to get shipped to the store to see them in person first. What does everyone think? Are there any clear red flags that say to stay away from these diamonds? I think it''s obvious that there are some inclusions that affect some light performance, but would they be visible to the eye? Thanks everyone!
