Stephan,

First two images show Histograms (angle dispersion)*(Intensity of Beam) . I do not see big difference

lost two images are Histograms of angle dispersion . Yes diamond with bigger star facets has bigger dispersion

Looks what fire flashes could be more often but not bright

Serg,

Thank you so much for all the time you invest to answer my question.
This pictures are of a 40.75 PA - 34.5 CA right?
Can I ask you how it would work with a 40.8 PA - 33.7 CA and 80% lgf?
Thanks!

Interesting images.
As I thought it is the different angle of the upper girdles that is making the biggest difference not the actual star length.

With a 33.7 CA and a 55% table, the star could be 62% (upper girdle 42.15°) or 63% (upper girdle 42.38°).
I think such an upper girdle will work good with the pavilion main of 40.8 and the lgf of 80% (41.89°).

I guess that this one could look better, but correct me if I''m wrong.

In your example with a 34.5 CA, 65% star and a 55% table, the upper girdle is 43.75, perhaps a little bit too steep for the pavilion.

re:With a 33.7 CA and a 55% table, the star could be 62% (upper girdle 42.15°) or 63% (upper girdle 42.38°).

60% is better for P40.8Cr33.7T55Lgfl80

re: 62% (upper girdle 42.15°) or 63% (upper girdle 42.38°).

I see you have DC, in next 1-2 weeks you can create such images for any parameters. Please wait DC3.2

When DC3.2 is out we will do a thread on this and I will produce the images for you for different combinations.
I''m going to be doing so anyway as I study it so it isn''t that big a deal to save some and post them.
