Hi Folks,
Had this posted in the jewellery pieces forum but had no response. I am looking to purchase another shared prong eternity band and wondered if people would wear them together? I am not 100% sure of that but wondering about the possibility.
I am considering the wear and tear and wondered about a very thin spacer between the rings. Does anyone have pictures of rings like this?
The one I have now is made up of .20 X 17 stones for a size 5 and I am looking into one .30 X 16? stones.
Thoughts?

Mine is not an eternity ring but a 5-stone, shared prong band. I wear it with my 3-stone with a spacer band between the two so my setting does not get damaged by the diamonds in the band rubbing against it. I know that there are people on PS that wear stacking eternity rings. If you are worried about the settings getting worn, I'd wear a spacer so the diamonds don't rub. If you are only going to wear them together at times, it may not be necessary.

If you go to the SMTR helpful threads post there is a posting for all eternity bands. On page two there is a picture of 2 bands worn together and the spacer band. Sorry.....I don't know how to post the link here. Perhaps someone else can do it for you.

I do not normally stack my rings because like you, I am worried about wear/damage. If I do stack my ering with another diamond ring, then I wear a thin 2-mm spacer ring (plain metal) in between. Even so, the thin spacer ring still shows too much metal. I prefer to see mostly and only diamonds. Now, I am considering this design of "bead set" eternity that has stones shielded from adjacent diamonds/ring metal (note the width of base metal is geater than the stone diameter), but am not sure if it is a good solution. Hope that someone who owns this ring design will share her expereince.

HI :D

I too LOVE stacking eternity bands. I have a shared prong eternity band that is 3.25 cttw that I like to wear sandwiched between two 1cttw antique looking eternity band. After a little while I got scared about the damage and purchased two 1mm plain white gold bands to wear as stackers but I hated the look. I really only like to see diamonds so now I just wear them alone or stacked up on special occasions. Your only other option is to get them soldered together.

FancyDiamond, I don't have this style (yet) but I am planning on getting two eternities that I want to stack sometimes and also and wear with my solitaire. I've had a couple of conversations with Lesley at BGD and she tells me that they make a bead set that doesn't rub. She mentioned that her daughter wears hers every day with another ring and has had no damage. It looks gorgeous!

Somebody recently got that bead set band from BGD and said it didn't rub against her e-ring - sorry I can't remember the poster right now but I'll try to look!

Also, what about a really thin spacer - like only 1 mm?

ETA: Aha! It was TravelGoddess's gorgeous band/ring - https://www.pricescope.com/communit...d-eternity-band.146859/#post-2650126#p2650126

Thanks, BEG, for the link to the thread. That is the ring I want. Wonder who else has that ring and can share experience.
I do not think the spacer, however thin, will look good in the stacked set. I got myself a 2-mm spacer. It does not look good with my other rings. I never knew that they would not go together until I put them together. Trust me, they do not look good together.

Sorry, OP, for the threadjack. Hope our side conversations help you as well.

Thanks for the responses. I would not wear them stacked all the time. Mostly on special occasions. I don't think I would like the look of a 2 mm spacer but perhaps something thinner.
I am still waiting for the pricing from my local jeweller and considering all options. I will post pictures when and if available.

One of the things that I really like about the setting of my ring and would hope to duplicate is the delicate metal work with the shared prongs. I have a princess cut diamond eternity band that is chanel set and the additional metal gives it a different look - more chunky and solid. I would love to see pictures of these bead set rings stacked.

My spacer was 1mm and it looked AWFUL. I literally whipped it off and returned it back! It was not that easy to find either but if you really must use a spacer they have some pretty cute ones on Etsy. I would just get a ring that doesn't rub like people suggested if I really wanted to stack daily
