I am new to the forum. I am trying to figure out a value for this blue sapphire which my dad found in a mine in Ratnapura (Sri Lanka) long time ago. Its unheated, and in its natural formation of a twin crystal. the photo is unedited and does little justice to the beauty of the real thing. We could cut and polish the stones to get a few pieces our of it but I assume it's heaps more valuable in its natural rough formation. Has anyone seen such a specimen this size? How rare is it?
