Spinels are finally set!

Greetings to all that have been waiting forever (since 2003, or 2004) for those ACS red spinels to be set. I could not decide how to set them and thought I wanted Leon''s french wire earrings but then changed my mind when I found out how expensive they are.

A few years passed and I saw Aljdewey''s leverback dangle earrings and I knew that''s just what I wanted so sit back and enjoy the show.

The original ACS spinels:
1.79 cttw of pure red goodness of Burmese origin. Perfectly matching square cushions of approximately 5.5 mm.

These are Leon''s infamous French wire earrings which gets my heart pumping to this day.

Molded after Aljdewey''s Inspiration-Al earrings. Whiteflash and I modified it so that the earrings are interchangeable since I have many gemstones to set as earrings but didn''t want to spend too much money on a gazillion earring settings. This way, I''ll have only one leverback and tons of baubles that I can swap out when I feel like it.

For added eye candy, here''s Richard Homer''s amethysts too. I sourced these through Wink since I wanted only top notch amethysts that flashed red and blue. There are cut with the traditional flat faceting as I requested and are 7.0 mm rounds.

And finally, the entire set from Whiteflash.

I am very pleased with the final product. The earrings are so much finer in person. Much more delicate than the photos show.

Those are gorgeous! But you know you are a tease because you only ever send us these vendor pics and never have real life photos! I have read about your issues with taking pics with your film camera, so I am going to start a pricescope "telethon" and raise money to buy you a digital camera just so we can see your lovlies in all their glory!
