Oval Spessartine Garnet, Brilliant cut, 1.67 karats, 8.0 x 6.6 x 3.3 mm
18k gold.
Originally, I had purchased a rhodolite garnet from Uli (osirisgems from ebay) unfortunately I lost that beautifully cut stone during a move. When I went a few weeks later lurking on Uli's latest auctions I spotted and fell in love with this garnet.

I decided to get it set by JKT after seeing her beautiful work here on pricescope. I told her I wanted a wide band, scroll design similar to something I had seen on her website. She went from there. She was great, so easy to work with me (a novice!) and totally patient with me and some sizing issues that were totally my fault.
The original design had leaves along the edge which I wasn't too fond of, she removed them reworked the design and hit the nail on the head with what I was looking for. All remaining pics by JKT.
First design with leaves, a little too "floral for me."
Second and final design, exactly what I had in mind.

It is so gorgeous especially in the sun. I cannot stop looking at it whenever I wear it!
