I''m an equal-opportunity rice-eater -- brown, white, basmati, jasmine, arborio, you name it (except Minute rice...can''t stand the stuff) but DH likes a kind of rice that''s apparently impossible to find in the US. If I can find medium-grain white rice, that''s what I use for his favorite dishes. If not, I usually sub in arborio cooked like regular rice, rather than the risotto method.
Does your DH not like calrose rice? Its medium grain, and its sticky rice. Dunno if that''s the kind ur DH likes...
