Spacer ring issues

I''m in the process of having custom made a five stone wedding band in WF and it became clear that I should think about purchasing a spacer band between the shared prong diamond wedding band and my e-ring. What kind of qualities make up a good spacer ring or can any kind of thin ring be used as a spacer ring? Would this extremely affordable Etsy find make a good spacer ring:

My e-ring is 18K yellow gold and the wedding band will be made of 14K white gold so I was thinking that the spacer ring could be of 14K white gold also. But is the example ring too small to be a good spacer ring or should I get something a bit more wider?

The purpose of the spacer ring is so the diamonds on your 5 stone and e-ring don''t rub. I don''t really see a reason to go larger. The thinner the spacer the better I think. I sometimes wear a knife edge ring in betwen my e-ring and band because it''s the thinnest I could find.

As long as the diamonds don''t extend past the width of the spacer, I think the thinner the better too. This ring would look lovely between a shiny Ering and a shiny wb - just a little contrast..



Just one more detail -
I don''t know how thick your wb and Ering are (not how wide they are, but how high the shanks stand up from your finger, KWIM?), but if it would bother you to have rings of different heights you might want to order the spacer a quarter size bigger, since it''s only 1mm high...my Ering is 3mm wide and 1.9mm high at the shoulders, 1.5mm high at the bottom, I ordered my 1.3mm deep wb a bit larger to make sure the outer diametres matched.

Yes, I am very obsessive about this so would want to make sure they matched in heights if at all possible.
