Does anyone know of a reputable dealer for diamonds in the Joburg or the CapeTown area? Despite SA being the source of many diamonds, are there any other reasons why one would want to buy there?

Beware of Cape Town, in many cases it’s a tourist trap
Here is a link to an exceptionally good diamond-cutting factory in Johannesburg that does deal with the public at excellent prices.

Please be careful in Johannesburg. I was there for almost 2 months and witnessed a bunch of crimes and was almost the victim of one myself. It's a scary town to be in. Everything shuts down at 5pm and don't go out after dark.
