Sounds or textures you hate

Sounds

Chewing.... any chewing. Crunching and smacking... ack! Makes me want to pull my eyeballs out!

Nail clipping, when someone else is doing it. Ditto the *plink* of tooth flossing.

Jaw clicking.

Dragging of teeth on a fork.

Horking up phlegm, with or without spitting (I don't know which is worse!).

Someone sucking some crap from between their teeth.

FIERYRED: "the sound of someone rubbing their eye"... I almost wrote this, too. Sickening, isn't it?


Needless to say, I'm not easy to live with...


Textures

Biting into an errant chunk of egg shell.

Rotten 'pleather'. That would be the sticky, rubbery feeling of decaying vinyl purses, boots or jackets ... usually encountered on vintage clothing hunts. Broken down foam rubber is also icky.

Taffeta against my bare skin.

Putting a dish in a gritty (scouring powder) sink. That's a sound texture combo that effs me up!

Yes, those creep me out; I eat them but I don't like how they feel against the teeth. I don't like scallops either, too spongy

I hate chewy foods that are not sweet. Meaning, calamari, frogs legs, escargot! UUGGGHH.

I also cannot stand caviar. The mere thought of it makes me queasy. I used to call it fishberry jam. Gross.

I hate runny egg yolks and not well scrambled eggs and I hate bacon that is not crisp.

Slimy food always makes me sick.

but I LOVE crunchy as long as it is not eggshells in my food or other crunchable things things that SHOULD NOT be there.

Texture - fingernails scratching on cotton sheets or pillow cases. (my sister knew it bothred me so she''d do it all the time) I cannot stand the sound or the feel.

Food - V8 juice or any tomato juice (tomatoes are fine -love em!, marinara sauce is fine too) something about the V8 juice or a Bloody Mary - can''t even smell it with out feeling like I''m gonna hurl.

YES YES YES YES! I couldn''t agree with you more! Besides the awful texture, they have no taste whatsoever so what''s the point?

The hairs on my arms are standing up on end here!! I hate the chalkboard thing... and the fork on a plate. I also hate that noise when you put a straw in the lid of a mcdonalds cup. My hubby can''t stand if you catch your teeth on a fork. Sends him mad!

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW,I hate that chalkboard thing too and the fork on the plate. The straw in the lid drives me crazy. My grandboys put it in and take it out, squeak squeak squeak squeak, drives me NUTS!!!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY! OMG I cannot eat eggs any other way than scrambled.
I had to eat a sunny side up egg once because I was a guest at someone''s house for breakfast and they served juevos rancheros and I seriously did NOT know how I was going to make it through that meal! hahaa!

Oh and my mom used to make deviled eggs....BLECHHHH! I can''t even stand the smell let alone eat one (which I never have) UUgghhhh.... awful.

ACK!!!!!!! I HATE that sound, I want to throw up with them, if I hear that. I hate hearing them hack then spit!!! double GROSS!! I also hate hearing them blow their noses. ICK

I also hate the sound of chairs or other furniture squealing across the floor.

I hate rough bed sheets and toilet paper, cheap and nasty and I get rashes from really rough linens. My tongue gets all bumpy.

Lychees AND water chestnuts are nasty and have no taste, that is so true.

LOL, you can have my oatmeal Linda. Hubby always asks me if I want him to make a bowl for me! The only oatmeal sort of cereal I will eat is Go Lean but otherwise, no thanks. hehe
