I''ve been watching in the wings for some time now, but this is my first post. I''ve been looking at countless settings for my soon to be fiance''s e-ring. I really like this ring posted today, but I''m pretty sure I can''t come close to affording Leon''s work. I''d like to stay somewhere near the $2000 mark. Does anyone know of a similar setting in my budget? Thanks for the help. Oh, and I cant figure out how to post a pic, so here''s the link. If someone would be kind enough to post the pic in a reply that would be appreciated.

There will be some similar settings, but what specifically do you like about that one? What are the aspects of the design you really are looking for?
Also, what shape/size diamond will you be putting in there?
With $2k, you should have some nice options

Have you considered 14KW or Palladium? Either metal could be fine choice for a design similar to the one you like. I work in both those metals, and believe either can be fine choice to set diamonds. Designs in these metals cost significantly less than platinum, and when well made, can be of exceptional quality.

A couple ideas. One ask Leon to do it with diamonds just half way down the shank and ask him if he can do it for 2K. I'd be surprised if he couldn't.

Otherwise, call around for qoutes. Ocean (through www.winkjones.com ), Maytal, Brian Gavin, Engagement Rings Direct.... and someone Bridget Durnell all do designs that would be similar. But I think you'd be surprised by how much Leon costs, and if you love the original you should get the original (with just a little modification like less diamonds).
