I went to engagementringsdirect and did a search for cushions there and I found this for $3200-$3300:

Shape : Cushion
Carats : 1.51
Cut Grade : Very Good
Color Grade : D
Clarity Grade : IF
Certificate No. :
Measurement : 7.09x6.02x4.19
Ratio : 1.18
Depth : 69.6
Table : 65
Girdle : -
Culet : None
Polish : Very Good
Symmetry : Good
Certification : GIA
Fluorescence : FB

Shape : Cushion
Carats : 2.10
Cut Grade : Very Good
Color Grade : F
Clarity Grade : IF
Certificate No. :
Measurement : 7.95x7.42x4.14
Ratio : 1.07
Depth : 55.8
Table : 71
Girdle : STK-VTK
Culet : None
Polish : Very Good
Symmetry : Good
Certification : GIA
Fluorescence : NO

In previous searches I have barely found stones close to 1 carat for that price. Do these specs show some flaw I''m not recognizing?

They have made a mistake. Even if it was a horrible cut, there''s no way a 1.5 or 2.1 carat colorless IF stone is going to be $3300. Someone goofed entering the data.

Yep - must be a goof with a GIA report.

well that second one is VERY shallow and has an EMORMOUS table... the first one has a table that is about 10% more than I would want in a cushion table... but it isn''t as huge as the 2nd one. I doubt that second one has much fire, but it''ll give you spread over your finger for a real bargain. The first one probably isn''t the best fire maker either but a lot would depend on the crown height since the stone is a decent depth... maybe a *tad* on the deep side. If the weight of that first stone is all in the pavillion, I don''t think it would be as pretty as another stone that had better proportions.

I really wish they included crown height for cushions.

I agree that they are seriously low priced, but cushions do that sometimes... Maybe there should be a 1 in front of it, but I don''t think a 2. Cushions can be all over the place in price and that second one has some issues that would seriously ding the price and the first one isn''t great either. Even still, 1600 per carat is ridiculously low, you''re right LOL

Like Cehra said the numbers don''t match what I would want in a cut. But still the prices seem low. Perhaps there is a mistake. Or you could call the top one in to look at it and see if you like it. Call them and ask about it just to satisfy your curiosity.

I really doubt those are the correct prices for those stones.

I''ll take the big one - I''m already hogging my share of the fire in my other stone hahaha my fingers are bigger than yours and I need it for coverage. ::spew::

I suspect the correct price is $ 32,000.00 - $ 33,000.00 ( I didn''t not read what is listed at ERD)

Guess we''ll hear.

I too saw this. I contacted ERD and they told me these were mistakes that they were going to correct on their website.

is that based on the color and clarity pretty much alone? cause the cut on these isn''t great at all... better on the 1.5 stone - but really? 30k?

You told me to go on a DIET to get more finger coverage. I've been dieting for 2 months now...small success. Buying more diamonds might be the easier thing to do.

But I want the smaller one since it's better cut. Or the bigger one for a recut? These price guesses must be based on color and clarity.

Well I did take your advice and I am losing very slowly. I''d like to be able to try on bathing suits in April and actually find something that looks good on me. So you started it but I''ve found motivation elsewhere too.
