someone please tell me if this is a fair deal

hey everyone, this is my first post and i hope it produces a lot of help !

I am buying a ring for my soon to be fiance tonight !, while she goes to college tonight I will be sneaking off to buy a ring.

I''m on a limited budget so I am buying an 18kt white gold ring with .15 karat diamond. It will cost around $400, is this a good deal ?

I think that we need a lot more information in order to determine if that is a "fair deal" or not.. I randomly looked at Zales'' website to see what they had for comparable sized solitaires and they have a 1/5 ct (or 0.2 ct) for $269. Or you could get a 1/4 ct at Kay for $399. Just to reference a few of the B&M store prices.

Like I said, we need more information about the ring you are considering in order to determine if it''s a good price or not..
