They are asking 9,200.00 for this and I''m wondering if this could be a nice diamond for an engagement. I''m sending it to an independent appraiser. Thanks for any help.

That stone only gets a 5.4 on the cut advisor, and if it was an ideal or premium cut the stone should cost about $11,780.00. I don't think $2,580 off that price is that fantastic. But as with any stone, the real worth depends on what YOU think about the stone. Did you see it? Do you love it? A stone that is "perfect" on paper is worthless if you don't love the way it looks, and a stone that is less than ideal can actually be one that makes your heart melt. Trust your gut instincts and you won't go wrong.
