Hi,
I am considering buying a diamond from Excel
Diamonds - http://www.exceldiamonds.com anyone have experience with them? they seem to be selling superbcert diamonds.
Carat : 0.41
Cut : Super Ideal, H&A
Clarity : IF
Color : E
Measurements : 4.79 - 4.81 x 2.93
Depth : 61
Table : 55%
Girdle : Thin to medium
Culet : None
Polish : Excellent
Symmetry : Excellent
Clarity Characteristics : None
Fluorescence : None
MegaScope Specifications
Crown Angle : 34.2
Crown Height : 14.8%
Pavil. Angle : 40.8
Pavil. Depth : 43.1%

The other diamond that I am considering is from Blue Nile, one of their signature cut diamond.

Carat weight: 0.39
Cut: Signature Round
Color: E
Clarity: IF
Depth %: 61.2%
Table %: 57%
Symmetry: Ideal
Polish: Ideal
Girdle: Thin to slightly thick, faceted
Culet: Very small
Fluorescence: Medium blue
Measurements: 4.70x4.76x2.89 mm
Crown Angle : 34.8
Pavil. Angle : 41

Which one of these is a better rock? The diamond from blue nile is approx.
$300 cheaper...

By the numbers, which you can try yourself, I''d suggest option #1 (for their marketing purposes, I understand Excep handles Superbcert for them now) as the relatively more clear choice.

Make sure to check the tutorial here, which is very helpful.

Best,

Are you sure given what other limitations you are accepting in the two stones above that IF is the best use of resources?

(considering you are going with E and not D color)

Have you seen similar stones of VVS1-2 or even VS1 side by side with an IF ?

I am guessing that you are driven partially (maybe more than partially) by the idea of perfection.......
