Sometimes I just like to sit in the yard and play with my gems. I'm sure my neighbors think I'm a nut... especially when I bring out the whole collection of loose and set stones
I was playing around with this set diamond (0.89 J VS1 ACA) and the loose diamond (0.78 L VS2 ex/ex/ex) yesterday and my dog decided it would be fun to jump on me. I dropped the loose stone and was worried my dog would eat it (she always tries to chew my diamond ring, I think it looks like a bug to her) so I jumped up to bring her inside the house. In the process, I lost sense of where I had been sitting and the shadows were shifting rapidly as the evening advanced. So, I spent about half an hour on my hands and knees searching for this little stone. I decided I was being ridiculous, so I stood up, closed my eyes and took some deep breaths. I decided what shall be will be and that at the end of the day it doesn't really matter. I centered myself on this idea and was going to head inside calmly accepting the loss... when I looked down and saw the diamond a few inches from my foot!!
