Solitare to a Halo, makes the stone look larger?

I have an asscher 1.55ct Asscher E VS2

I love the stone so much, and I want to upgrade for the wedding but I have to wait till then. So in the meantime I was thinking of getting a halo. I heard it makes the stone look larger. Is this true? and if so does anyone one have before and after pics ?

I halo-ed my 1.39 ct asscher in a Baguette halo and people tell me ALL THE TIME how huge it looks. The baguettes really mirror the steps in the asscher. Check out the pics in this link.
