ok the indecisiveness is showing again. My bf and i are considering a solitaire ering with an asscher diamond. My problem is i dont know how this would look with a pave wedding band. i dont want the wedding band to look too blingy as to compete with the asscher. But im not sure i want a plain band either. Does anyone have any pictures of a solitaire ering with a pave wedding band? Especially with an asscher.

this isn''t pave'' but it shows that you can have some extra bling that doesn''t take anything away from the center stone...

the key is finding a good center stone!

Hopefully we will be taking care of that at GOG in March!!

The thing is, we are thinking we might like just the plain solitaire for e-ring but I don't know if I would want a plain wedding band as well. I have seen a bunch of RB solitaires with eternity bands but I don't know if it would look good with a.) an asscher cut and b.) pave band.
Thanks so much for your help though. I love RichardAlex's ring and I could never get tired of looking at it

great! best of luck to you!

I have a pave solitare ring with matching w-band. My center stone is RB but asscher is not so square that it look much different. I''m looking at my ring right now and can totally see an asscher center stone.

Also the pave w-band does not at all take away from my center stone...just adds to it.

I wish I could post pictures but I can''t.

I''m no help, because I think asschers look best with plain bands so they can really be showcased. I thought about getting a band with a little bling to it, but I always wanted a plain band and one look at the difference between plain and diamond bands paired with the Lucida on tiffany''s website and I remembered why I love plain.

I''m sure there is a pave band out there that will look great, however! I just wanted to put my vote in to give "plain" a chance and not rule it out before you have put both next to your ring and asscher!

I think it sounds very pretty. And since there doesn''t seem to be any/many pictures of such a ring, maybe yours would be more unique. Keep us posted!

in my humble opinion i HATE pave or prong set stones with an asscher (like Belle showed) --I would do the asscher with an eternity band of square cuts

Great, how else!

For some reason, small pave (rather than the larger diamonds used in shared prong bands) sounds very tempting. The picture below has it too big. Working on that...

And Windowshopper's choice would be a tough competitor, IMO.

yes--true micropave with an asscher is lovely but i didnt care for the prong set stones

Thanks so much for those pictures valeria!! They really helped and made things more difficult at the same time. I like the first picture on the second post a lot!
