This is a fun thread to look through. I tried a halo for a hot minute and decided it wasn’t for me - at the time. But I am saving up for a reset and am leaning toward a halo since I am not getting an upgrade in size anytime soon!

LOVING this thread!
I have looked through the entire thing as I anxiously await my halo transformation.
Although I started with a halo, the new halo will be quite a change.
I’ll be going from a single halo that’s 3mm in size to a cluster double halo that’s 8.3mm in size.
I’m excited for more finger coverage, more diamonds, and especially for the way it will showcase my yogo sapphire that will be the center stone.
It’s going to be a looooooong 4 week wait!

I don't know that this is *entirely* a halo setting, but the idea is the same.

My .645ct E VS AVR in a solitaire, then in a floral design made by DKJ.

This is not the same diamond, but I did go from a solitaire to a halo ... still a huge fan of solitaires ... I just got kind of bored by mine ... decided to get a slightly larger diamond with no fluorescence and while waiting opted for a halo that keeps much of the solitaire look and profile

Your diamond and ring is orgeous both ways @kmoro. I agree it's so challenging a decision isn't it? Wouldn't it be great if someone could design and create a setting that could go from solitaire to halo easily? That way we get the best of both worlds. And then maybe design one that could also switch to a 3 stone setting easily from solitaire to halo to 3 stone. That might be asking for too much though but if one doesn't dream it there is no chance in it happening right? And one should always dream...

Thanks! lol ... I was thinking the same thing! Please someone design a set of rings where we can just pop the diamond in and out of different styles, lol. Too bad that would be a recipe for a lot of lost diamonds

But would it be? Someone on IG shared a ring that converts from a ring to a pendant and it looks pretty secure. IMO it is just a matter of time for someone to design a setting that could go from one design to another... but probably not in my lifetime. Not saying our lifetime because you are probably younger than me.
