Solitaire setting, are there any other options?

I still have my original e-ring setting, which looks exactly like this:

Although I still like my re-set, I'm finding that I miss wearing yellow gold. I'm considering either setting my stone back into it's original, or getting another stone for the ring, as I've never liked the cz I put in it, after my reset. I never wear it.

Here's my question: Other than the standard 6 or 4 prong setting we always see on this classic setting, are there any other peg heads that would work? A Stuller halo? Prongs with another kind of detail? I'd love if I could maybe use my sentimental ring in a new and improved way.

If you know of any, would you kindly point me in that direction, either with pictures or direct me on where to look? I know I can go to my jeweler to ask, and I will, but I'm new here still, so they haven't figured out yet that I'm a crazy jewelry lady and always wants the impossible! So, I'd like to go in armed with info, if there is any?

This is a little more technical issue than I think I could answer....but might I suggest putting in a CS? Maybe that would cause you to wear it more?
