So, what are you happy about these days?

Keepingthefaith21 said:
Happy to know that my personal emotional strength is limitless.

Happy to know I still have my Faith.

Happy to have some of the best friends in the Universe. Seriously. Most people can only dream of the friends I am surrounded by.

*hugs* - Not sure why, it just seems to me like you could use them.

i'm happy that my very sick puppy is in stable condition, comfortable, happy and is doing absolutely GREAT-- she is months beyond her prognosis!
i'm happy that my biochemistry class is going to be over next thursday
i'm happy that my 21st birthday is coming up in two weeks!
i'm happy that my brother got his first A in a college level course after struggling for years(so proud of him!!!)
im happy that i'm blessed enough to be able to purchase two new rings (leon mege string pave bands) for myself for my birthday!
i'm happy about lots of stuff--- i could go on and on!

Okay, let me make a real list:

I'm happy that I have amazing friends.
I'm happy that I get to spend time with my family.
I'm happy that my little brother starts college next week, and that I get to drive down and help him move into his dorm room.
I'm happy that I get the chance to be independent and discover what my life will be like when I plan it only to make ME happy.
I'm happy that soon I'll get a new apartment to decorate and personalize.
I'm happy that I have a job I enjoy.
I'm happy that I have people I can call at any hour of the day or night when I'm having a tough time.
I'm happy that I'm part of an awesome Ultimate team, and that we're finally ordering jerseys today!
I'm happy that I have two kitties that I adore.
I'm happy that I'm happy. 8)

I'm sohappy that our kitty seems to be recovering from his nearly fatal liver disease. We've had a few setbacks during his treatment, but for the most part, I think he's on the mend. :appl:

As well, I'm happy that we're having sunny warm/hot days here and that we have AC and a pool for the days when it's just too hot.

Our family is healthy and happy (as far as I know, anyway).

I have absolutely no preparation to do for the upcoming school year.

We have 'enough'. :))

I'm happy that all my loved ones and myself are in good health.

I'm happy that I still look at my husband and get butterflies sometimes even after 10 years and 2 kids.

I'm happy that I have a nice, safe place to live and plenty of food to eat.

I'm happy that I have 2 amazing boys...one of which is getting ready to go off to kindergarten next week, and one who looks into my eyes and gives me sweet smiles and says "mama".

I'm happy that I've got a really close group of friends that would do anything for each other.

Thanks for this thread, it's important to remember how blessed we are sometimes.

I'm ecstatic to have our new baby girl! She's so sweet and gorgeous. We're very happy that she's doing so well on her meds for her heart condition.

Also, we're excited for JT because he's learning to ride a bike.

And my sis is starting her Sr year of college!

I'm happy that we made it through the recession and that my husband has plenty of work now and we're OK financially.

As of yesterday, I'm happy that we decided together that I wouldn't have any type of radical surgery now for my pre-cancerous colon polyposis, but to go ahead with another polypectomy with a different surgeon than the one that almost killed me in June. It will be good to get this particular surgeon's opinion (since he's the Chief of Surgery at the biggest hospital where we live) and I'm resigned to the fact that if I have to have radical surgery down the road, I can face that knowing we did everything we could to treat this without jumping into something so permanent and somewhat deforming.

I hope I didn't dampen anyone spirits, it was just really hard to make this particular decision when doctors tell you that what you have can become cancer at any time.

gemgirl - don't feel like you brought anyone down. You made a decision that will put your mind at ease, and might help you, and that is so important and it is something to be happy about.

I will keep you in my thoughts and hope for the best for you!

My husband is right around the corner from surviving a year post Bone Marrow Transplant!

So many happy medical stories here :appl:

I'm happy my FI can home after a week away for work.
I'm happy that my people are healthy (mostly).
I'm happy that FI's grandmother has done a kick-ass job of living with cancer for far longer than anyone expected. Fingers crossed that she makes the weddings of her two grandchildren next year.
I'm happy that FI and I are planning renovations to our first home together
I'm happy my sister is getting married next month and my brother is coming home to witness it :appl:
I'm happy that an awesome job opportunity is coming up. I'll give it my best shot even if it means moving to another state.
I'm happy that I decided to adjust my attitude regarding my current job. I can only change myself 8)
I'm happy that its sunny and warmer today.
I'm happy that I can dream big!

I'm happy our Grandgaileys have come to Canada from the UK for a visit.

Well, I don't regret our move one bit - it's been awesome :)
Had 2 very nice weeks with the inlaws and had not a single thing to complain about :)
Absolutely love my neighborhood and my neighbors - it's going to make our time here so much nicer :)

And of course all of the usual stuff like being grateful I still love my husband (and he loves me) and that our children are healthy and happy...

I'm happy that my teeth don't hurt (when I was a kid, I had a bad experience and always promised myself I would be thankful when my teeth didn't hurt).
My family and I are in mostly good health including my dog and cat.
I won first place at the County fair on a project I was working on.
The weather in San Diego has been so cool, it feels like Spring and I love it.
I bought a sexy sofa.

gailey - your grandgaileys are adorable. That is the cutest hat/dress combo I think I've ever seen.

I'm glad to read about what makes everyone happy.

I'm also happy that we're close to my parents and my husband's family again, even if they do drive me crazy at times.
I love knowing that fall is right around the corner. The crunchy leaves and the beautiful colors, THAT makes me happy.
I'd love to have another GTG with the New England PSers again. One of them just got in touch with me and it was so good to hear from her.
I love our new condo. It's not big but it's a good size for us. Being here makes me happy.

What a good and timely thread. Sometimes it's so nice to stop and think about what we are happy for in life.
I am happy that I get to continue going to college. Learning and accomplishing my goals make me happy.
I am happy that my little dog is such a cheerful character. He can always coax a smile from me.
I am happy that my FI is the person he is. I'm blessed to have him.
There are so many other things I'm happy for but I just wanted to say thank you for reminding me to think of them today.

   this thread! Oozing with positivity!

I'm happy that the sky is blue and the sun is shining... Three cheers for Colorado weather!

I'm happy that I'm getting back into running after a 1.5 month hiatus & I'm feeling great/healthy/motivated

I'm happy to finally be in a grad program that is a perfect fit- I love my classmates, my area of study & am thrilled to be student teaching in a remarkable, progressive school (that gives me TONS of hope for our nation's future!)

I'm happy about our little home projects & making our new place feel like OURS... (and i'm secretly already happy about getting our first Christmas tree & other holiday decorations, even though we don't Celebrate the holiday :cheeky: )

Thank you Dragonfly. I have to say that little Lily's smile makes me happier than anything else at the moment and I'm going to be one sad Gailey this time next week when they are on their way back to the UK.

I am making plans to redecorate our crap hole little apartment :) Starting with the kitchen!

I'm happy to have healthy family and friends.
I'm happy to have a wonderful and supportive husband who takes care of me better than anyone can.
I'm happy to be starting grad school at the school I always dreamed of going to (I'm very nervous about starting in 3 and a half weeks, but I'm so grateful and happy I got in!)
I'm happy my parents are generously paying my tuition so I even have the opportunity to attend this school.
I'm happy to be in Israel with my husband for his first trip here! (And I'm happy my father and stepmom took us along with them and are taking us all over the country this coming week!) And I'm so happy our flight landed safely. I hate flying.

I have so much more to add. Maybe I'll come back tomorrow night after our long day of touring to finish the list! :))

I'm happy that my ex and I are really making progress to fix what went wrong in our marriage.

I'm happy that I am halfway to coming off my anti depressants and my brain is unfuzzing.

I'm happy that my children are healthy and happy.

She is just too precious for words! I love her face, her little outfit and that hat. Try not to be sad. (But I can understand how you feel) Enjoy every day from now until then.

I think the heat is getting to all of us! I've had a hard time not complaining about lots of things this summer, mainly because of the stifling/oppressive heat with almost zero relief.

I am happy about all kinds of things. I just got engaged last month and we're starting to plan a wedding. We've been looking at houses, we saw two this week and we're seeing two tonight. We'll be on the lake on our realtor/friend's boat all day Sunday. The campaign S has been working on has been stellar recently due to total screw up on the part of the incumbent. His other projects are going fantastically. We both have stable jobs and our health. Lots of friends, tons of activities, life is just really good.
congratulations Monarch!!!! that's wonderful and exciting news!

I am happy that we adopted a new dog from the humane society! We now have two rescued dogs in the house and they are such great, obedient dogs! I am also happy that it is almost autumn (my favorite season) and that I am going to Aruba in March (right around the time that I will be wishing for sunshine!)

Now that it's official, I can post what I'm really happy about:

I GOT AN AWESOME NEW JOB! I start in a week and a half, which happens to be the day after my birthday. Happy birthday to me! :cheeky:
