So I posted this stone the other day and it appeared to be well received...

stone 1 http://www.bluenile.com/round-diamond-1-carat-signature-ideal-cut-g-color-vs2-clarity_LD01582534

But then saw this one today that may have changed my mind

stone 2 http://www.bluenile.com/round-diamond-1-carat-signature-ideal-cut-h-color-vs1-clarity_LD01448312

Bottom line (or lines ;) )

Stone 1is about $3700 more than stone 2 and .09 carats larger

stone 1is a 1.5 on the HCA and stone 2 is a 1.4

both are blue nile signature ideal

stone 1 is a g/vs2 and stone 2 is a h/vs1

stone 1 is GIA and stone 2 is AGS

I am gravatating towards #2 - anything I may be missing? FWIW - I will likely mount in a 4 prong solitaire.

I can't see anything you are missing. They both have potential to be great stones and the savings are significant. Personally, I would opt for #2, as well.

Both look promising.

Definitely the cheaper!

I don''t think that size difference would be visible to any but the most eagle-eyed experts

The size difference will not be apparent, and the clarity difference is negligible. The color difference? Compared to one another, no difference. Compared to an F maybe you could tell the H but not the G.

If it were me I might look for a bigger H that cost the same as the G! LOL! But you won''t jump the 2ct mark anyways for that money so maybe just save it and get a really nice wedding band later
