I'm going to have to do this in a few parts, I've bought many antique pieces/diamonds lately and want to share them, but there's just SO much!

PART 1
1. OMC (6.0 mm x 5.3 mm x 3.7 mm ~ 0.95 ct) in what looks to be a non-antique platinum ring. Its a nice deep stone! There is an inclusion, but the ring was well under $1,000 so I'm quite pleased! This was the ring that showed me I LOVE an OMC over an OEC, and now I want a bigger one!!

2. Five stone natural split pearl ring, early Victorian period. LOVE IT!!!

3. Cute little stick pin with some sort of antique (?) cushion (4 mm x 3.25 mm ~ 0.23 ct). Let me know what you all think this type of diamond is, loupe pictures below!

PART 2
4. 9ct gold horn heart pendant (early 20th century), I've been wearing it on one of my new gold filled watch chains!

5. Gold and enamel heart pendant (Victorian). The enamel is in pretty good shape!

6. Gold and enamel/split pearl mourning brooch with hair work (early 19th century). With an inscription (kind of hard to make out) - "My dear father Joshua F...April 1824 at 58" So cool!

I'll be posting the rest of the items later today or tomorrow!

I particularly love the pearl half-hoop ring, but all of your recent purchases are wonderful choices!

@clairebc lovely additions to your collection!
I too am intrigued by the cut of the stick pin - that faceting is gorgeous. Would love some antique specialists to chime in!

Your collection is so unique, lovely and special. I love how you have collected/curated to pick some really rare pieces. ASIDE I think the setting of your wonderful OMC is authentic (those little metal circles under the cathedral seems to be typical of early Edwardian times but stone is likely older). I’ve never seen a cut like your stick pin cut but I adore how defined it looks with the pronounced facet junctions. This is a really special quality of some older (1800s) antique cuts and encountered only rarely. Great post, thanks for sharing!

Thank you all for your wonderful comments, I am so happy to have a place where I can share all this!

@Mrsz1ppy Thank you!! My goal is to stop buying so many "smaller" pieces, so I can get one "bigger" piece instead - maybe some antique diamond earrings.

@marymm Thank you, I love it too! It was an "impulse buy" - but I wear it as often as I dare (they are pearls after all!).

@YadaYadaYada @Pomelo Thanks! Its such a unique cut, I have seen nothing like it!

@LightBright Thank you so much for all this info on the ring and on the stick pin diamond, interesting stuff! The stick pin was a random eBay buy.

I'm going to post the rest of the stuff today, its not as exciting as what I have already posted unfortunately haha.

The enamel heart has my heart! Would love to see a modelling pic if you wanted to share. I’m getting more interested in antiques. Where does your interest come from? And where are you finding these treasures?

Thanks for sharing! And congrats on these finds!

@diamondyes Yes here's a pic, I wore it to work today! My interest started when my grandma started passing down some of her jewelry pieces, which led me to buying some diamond studs, which led to antiques (and colored stones)! I find them from a mix of places: eBay, auctions (in person & online), and a few local pawn shops!!

@RRfromR Thank you! That first ring came from eBay, the seller was clares1225.

You have exquisite taste! Your mourning pin is for "My dear father Joshua Foster Ob 6 April 1824 AE 58" and something I can't make out. ("Ob" is short for "obit," the date of his death, and "ae" is his age.)
