So excited! Finally pictures of my Aquamarine!!

For my 21st birthday in March, my parents gave me a beautiful aquamarine ring. I don''t have any of the specs on it. I''m hoping when I get it sized in October I can at least find out how many carats it is and what this type of cut is called. After taking these pictures I realize how DIRTY it is and how hard it is to take pictures of gemstones! I think it''s much more attractive in real life, but here goes!

I''m admittedly a dumb dumb when it comes to aquas. How do you recommend I clean it? If I took it to a jeweler once, but I don''t really know what they did with it back there.

Also, I know it''s kind of hard to tell from my crappy pics, but do any of you know what this cut is called? I know it''s an oval, but it has step cuts, similar to an emerald cut.
