Smaller Side Diamonds - Lab Certs?

I noticed that most of the discussion here, and on dealer''s websites talk about the bigger stones - at least .50ct, and usually 1ct. One of the attractions to the Hearts on Fires jewelery to me is that the side stones (.15ct - .30ct) are all supposed to be cut as well as the certified larger stones. They certainly are brilliant. I''m told that they don''t lab cert these to keep the cost of the ring down (in the case of a 5 stone ring). What is your opionion on that. If I go with an internet sale (not HOF), how do I be sure that I get those eye popping brilliant small side stones that no one talks about?

The trick is that usually people do not want to pay the expense of having smaller diamonds lab graded, but it certainly can be done if you're willing to float the boat.

We can grade small diamonds for color/clarity/cut quality for dealers or consumers for rather nominal amounts. We often do this for people making high end tennis style bracelets who want nothing less than G color, VS2 clarity, as an example. No problem and not a big financial affair.

When people need this sort of thing done, we are willing to do it....

When going for a ring with 5 stones, I wonder then if it wouldn't be worth the markup to just go with the HOF, and have an appraiser have a look.

I just got an email from Diane at GOG, who said that "Our associates just returned from the Vegas show and have seen the two stones side by side and the Jubilee blows it away!" So now I'm even more curious about the Jubilee.

I have a 5 stone ring with diamonds that are .21-.22 in carat weight. Each of them came with it's own AGS report and the ring is absolutely gorgeous.

Edited to say that they are all ACA Hearts & Arrows diamonds and I can see the arrows even with my bad eyes
