Wedding Small Vent

Small vent - scheduling to purchase and making a final selection for BM dresses is difficult and annoying.

Sorry for taking up board space..just frustrated.

I sorta know what you mean. I dont know how many BM''s you have, I only have 2- my sister is my MOH (shes 16 yrs old) and FI''s sister (21 yo) is my bridesmaid. I chose the jcrew sophia dress in black for them. I just ordered one in my sisters size and brought it with me last weekend when I was home to visit so that I could see it on her in real life before having FI''s sister get it. It was really gorgeous so I told FI''s sister the details so that she could order it. Now its "final" and I''m kinda nervous!

The good thing is that this dress doesn''t require multiple fittings, etc. My sister might get her size 2 (I''m jealous) dress taken in a little at the top, but nothing major and nothing that needs any great planning.

Thanks Laura! Sigh..we need to order the dresses soon because I want to allow enough time for them to come in and alterations..and everyone seems to have sudden scheduling conflicts and keeps canceling on me, etc.

awww I''m sorry that you''re so stressed. Maybe you could just do something fun for a few hours and just not think about anything wedding. Maybe that will give your brain a chance to unwind and then you''ll feel fresher and less stressed. Or eat a candy bar.

i cheated on that one. with six bridesmaids ranging from a 5''2" size zero to a 6'' size 22, i said screw it and let them pick their own dresses! good luck with that one, and remember, the only dress that REALLY counts is yours, and it''s gorgeous, so no worries!

Sarah...i''m in the same boat. I told the girls the color and fabric from Watters, and told them to go to town. I gave them a deadline 2 weeks ago to turn in their sizes to me. I am STILL waiting on one girl to give me her size. 2 of my closest friends told me that bmaids gave them the biggest headaches throughout the planning process. Most of mine are really good and helpful and supportive. BUT I have a couple who don''t understand that there are deadlines for some of this stuff and they are holding back the rest of the group!
