Small oval?

I''m thinking about an oval that is 7.2mm x 6.5mm. For that size, do you think it would make a nice ring or is that just too small for an oval? Can you link me to some rings that are that are around that size stone? An oval set in an LOGR halo? Or maybe sidestones with an oval that size?

I don''t think its too small at all, but I like all my stones to be 7mm or less, Do you have a color in mind? oooh,, I got some rings in mind.. be right back.

Not at all. I plan to set my oval of about that size in a non-halo ring.

Anything over 6 mm I consider good enough size to stand on its own. That oval sounds like a very nice size.

That sounds like a fabulous size! Most of the LOGR settings I''ve seen will fit a 5x7 or a 6x8. I would think 6x8 woud work, but I''d be worried about the general shape being off because it''s not calibrated. Do you have pics of the oval?

Thanks for all this info. I am convinced it would work for me! The seller had just indicated it was kinda small and that made me wonder myself. It''s a stone that is usually purchased in larger sizes. IF it lasts on their site until I''m ready to get it - then it will be mine!

I don''t personally find that size too small! It''s all about preferences though

My tourmaline oval is 6.5mm x 5.5mm only so it''s smaller than yours, so I think you stone size will be ok, especially if you plan on setting it into a halo.
