Small orangish pinkish reddish hexagon sapphire - looking to make a pendant!

Okay! So I just bought a sapphire from desertrose on instagram. I'm absolutely in LOVE with it from its color to its luster to its inclusions, but I don't know what to do with it or what to call it!


To me it looks like a ruby... but I'm not an expert on color and the seller believes that a lab would default to sapphire. Either way, I adore the color. I already have a red ring in a similar color though so I'm thinking of making it into a necklace or pendant. It's too small for a solitaire pendant imo. I also have an emerald cut red beryl of similar size that could go with it if need be.

Red beryl ring and loose red beryl that could maybe go in a pendant with the sapphire. Not looking to get super rainbow though.

Anyway, I'm at a loss for what to do design wise. Anyone have any ideas?

Okay so I finally had the chance to put the two together.

I immediately thought that it looks like a Japanese wind chime aside from the top one being a little small... but that's nothing that a halo can't fix. I love wind chimes!

Here are some ideas that thought has brought me:


Sorry for my iphone notepad drawings lol but hopefully you get the point. The top one is half-moons for a sun look and the bottom is more geometric. Not positive what stones I'd want them in, but am leaning towards diamonds.

Thoughts?
