Sliding pendant or bail ?

Hi,

As some of you may know I am considering a pendant for my mom's birthday. For those of you that have halo pendants, which do you prefer sliding on a thin chain or a pave bail?

Sliding looks nicer but mine with bail doesn't flip at all. I'm not sure if sliding pendant flips though.

I think I am leaning towards sliding as I like that it has the appearance of floating.

I don't have a halo but mine is over 1ct and I have a sliding. I love it!

Another "non-halo" but I prefer the sliding pendant. I know that the clasp sometimes ends up around front but if it is going to do that anyway, it just seems more delicate than on a bail - IMO.

I love the look of a floating pendant vs a bail.
