Sizing Platinum

Can someone tell me if it is ok to stretch platinum up to 1/2 size if it will not hurt the design at front of ring?

Not knowing the ring, I can''t say for sure. Is this an engagement ring?
Platinum doesn''t stretch that well in general, but sometimes the jeweller can strip a layer of material from the inside of the ring without much distress. Cutting at the bottom and welding in a small spacer is better.

I''m with David. Show it to a pro. The design matters a lot. Most rings can be sized but ''stretching'' normally isn''t the best strategy.

It truly completely depends on the ring. I''ve had platinum bands that could be sized several sizes, some that could only go up 1 or 2 sizes, some that couldn''t be sized. Depends on the ring, the stones in it, the design, etc.
