Ok, now I''m lost...are these measurements too far off to be considered a matched pair for diamond studs set in martini settings? I''ve been assured that they are both eye-clean & match up, but I''d like to be certain. Something is nagging at me that these may be too far off, but I''m a total novice so I figured better to double-check. Also, since I''m up to .6ish, is it worth the extra $$ (exact amount unknown) to go ahead & reach to buy .70-.75? Would the size difference be noticeable? Thanks so much for your help!

You will not be able to detect .1mm in difference, especially with your head in the middle.

But some people prefer *exact* matches. Just depends on your perfectionism I guess.

I think you would be able to notice the size jump to .75. But it is a big price leap at the .70ct mark.

Hi Grandamar and welcome!

Can you post the crown and pavilion angles for each please? This info will be on the reports. Also do you know if these are eyeclean?

You are welcome and thanks for the info!

I would want an Idealscope image for both of these, both have what we call steep deep angles and there is the possibility of light leakage, does the vendor offer images?

Hi,
You want exact matches, if possible. When the stones are in your ears, they''ll look more balanced if exact. Just for reference, mine are: 4.77-4.79X2.93 and 4.76-4.79X2.93. I found the stones the first day I started shopping so it wasn''t a huge undertaking to find identical stones.

I think the size difference you`re talking about won`t be noticable in real life - but perhaps if you ask around at other vendors, there will be more options for you.. where have you looked so far
