Size 4 .85ct - Will it be too big???

OK, I have the .85ct AGSideal0 stone being set in the solitaire setting now... and she knows it is coming (we are both very excited).

But now that I have been reading posts, Im just a tiny bit worried that the stone will look too big on her little size 4 finger, for her taste. She doesnt want to seem gaudy or flashy...

I mean, we dont mind if it is "nicely" large...

But do you think it is possible for a .85 to look "too" large for some tastes on a sizze 4 finger?

Are there any of you with size 4''s that have a similar size that can speak up (or show a pic?)

I have a size 4.5 finger and trust me, the .85 will be just fine! Is there a thing as too big? J/K!

But honestly, I don''t think it will look too large or gawdy at all. Here is a photo of my 1 carat round diamond in it''s old setting (I just recently had it reset). This ring is a size 4. I''m sure your girlfriend''s hands don''t look exactly like mine, but this might give you an idea of scale.

I wasn''t the first to see 4.85 and think, "how could it be too big?" Nearly anyone would say, "Thank You" and put it away safely. It might be a little large for a finger, but few people would say it was too big.

Then again, the 0.85ct one sounds like a great size for a slim finger.... You can always upgrade for an anniversary. Plan ahead. If you start too large, you won''t have an easy option.

I think a .85 would look great on a size 4 finger. Definitely not too big. I used to have a .81 before I upgraded. I''m a size 3.5. Here''s a picture.

Definitely not too big, there''s no such thing! ;P I have a size 3.5 finger and currently wear a 3ct diamond, and am looking to upgrade it to a 4-4.5ct stone. I originally thought it would be "too big", but so many comment on my ring and how great it looks on my finger. =)

But .85 is lovely and certainly not too ostentatious in any way. Can''t wait to see your finished ring!

But, .85 on a size 4 is NOT too big. It will be nice and not at all gaudy.
 
I have so appreciated all of your comments!

I am so stinkin giddy... my girlfriend and I have come through so much to be where we are in three years, and we both have so much peace and excitement about this decision. We know it is right... it is a rare joy. This ring symbolizes that journey to me. I just cant wait to give it to her. I never thought I would get to feel this way. Woot.
