theory in development here.... dogs like peanut butter and they like cheese.... some men like peanut butter and they like cheese... if PB and cheese are the constants here... are men = to dogs???

Just kidding!!! - no offence intended to ANYONE who loves peanut butter and ANYTHING!!

I'm still trying to work up the nerve to try cheese whiz and relish on white bread! Apparently, it was a staple in my husband's household when he was growing up and part of the lunchbox repetoire. I think I would have gone hungry many days over if I was his sibling. There was never any Cheese Whiz or relish in my house growing up. I refuse to give this sandwhich to my kids and thankfully he hasn't pressured them to try it either. But he gets all excited just anticipating the first bite when he is making it. It turns my stomach and I have to leave the room. Thankfully it is rare to have a jar of the cheese spread in our fridge, so I am spared any routine nausea.

Last night, as I watched (horrified) my husband nostalgically eat a peanut butter and cheez wiz sandwich (childhood "treat"), it occurred to me to ask: "How on earth did you did you come up with that?" His answer: "I was out of jelly."

Haha, haven't heard of that one!

I can't judge though, some of may childhood favorites were peanut butter and rasins, vegemite and ready salted chips and Cheese and jam. Yum yum
