For me it was like. What on earth makes you think, "hmm... what is a good substitute for jelly? I KNOW-- CHEEZ WHIZ!"![]()

And honey? And syrup... and a whole HOST of things that would be been MUCH better than Cheez Whiz!!!! Probably not. It seems that Cheez Whiz is his substitute for Jelly. God only knows why.
Stacy, LOL. No, this is what he used to make for himself as a kid (when he was out of jelly). He just had a craving for it last night (we've been together for 13 years and he's never had one of these in all that time) and decided to whip one up (we normally do not have Cheez Whiz as I am the one who grocery shops, but he went this time and well... this is the result).
have never try that combo ...Gypsy|1345659870|3255421 said:Last night, as I watched (horrified) my husband nostalgically eat a peanut butter and cheez wiz sandwich (childhood "treat"), it occurred to me to ask: "How on earth did you did you come up with that?" His answer: "I was out of jelly."

Since he is into unusual pb pairings have him try pb and dill pickle. That my fellow psers, especially the ones wrinkling your nose is delicious.
In his defense maybe he thought about those snack crackers that are cheese crackers with pb between and figured if it works there it can work on bread

OMG Skippy. That's the best part. We have a FULLY STOCKED fridge right now. He WANTED to eat this. Not had to. I had beautiful steaks, great cold cuts, wonderful salad fixings (including farm fresh heirloom tomatoes, basil, and fresh mozzarella for a Caprese salad), fresh bagels and cream cheese, Ventresca tuna, and A TON OF JAMS AND JELLYS in the fridge.

Oh, wow, Enerchi, I'll have to take your word for this one. I used to eat lots of gherkin pickles when I was a kid but never paired with bologna and peanut butter!
