Full rice strand silver overtone. these are 9.0mm I don''t exactly know what to do with these yet. I may have them restrung with something (maybe some garnet beads?)

Thanks for the pictures, Arcadian. Very nice collection. How do you like the 65 inch strand? What I'm wondering is how you prefer to wear it?

I love this strand as its really super versatile. Sometimes I''ll knot it. Sometimes I''ll knot it even twice.

There''s also a few times I''ve worn them with some wood and glass bead necklaces of the same length. Sometimes I will loop them once to where the loop is close to the neck but the rest just hangs.

There''s a lot that can be done with it and Im not even done experimenting
2.gif
The only thing about this length that is sort of a drag is the weight, but you do get used to it.

I''m seriously thinking of buying a lot of lavendar/blues and having them strung into a long length like this.

Thanks. Sounds like a plan with the lavendar/blues. I''m looking for stringing projects nowadays. I have some multicolors coming from pearllunar and need to decide whether to make a double or triple necklace, or to simply do a long strand like this. Sounds like the long strand is better with smaller diameter pearls because of the weight issue. Hmmm.....

Because I tend to walk on the balls of my feet when I walk (I think thats a runner thing *lol*) necklaces tend to sway more on me. Then add to the fact that my chest is more like a prairie with gently rolling (small) hills instead of mountains.

So had I to do it over I would certainly have had 5-6mm strung for this length instead. I also would have gone opera length but thats another story too

Thanks, A. I see that opera length is 26 to 36 inches. I''d love to hear your story about what length you would choose, and why.

Oh definitely the 30-36. on me thats pretty ideal length to still have some versatility, plus the length would allow me to get a bit larger pearl. With opera length, I could get a 7-8mm round strand not worry about the thing beating me to death. I would still notice the weight of course, but swing at the bottom of the necklace is pretty much cut in half.

But I still want a really long lavendar/blue strand

About weight issue, I use the PowerPro thread to string my 82" strand and I have no problem. I found PowerPro is easy to knot.
