I'm considering - would these rings quality look similar - will get quotes. Which do you prefer?

1. stones set to 5 O'clock - 7 O'clock on ER worn with straight matching anniversary band one each side.

2. eternity_band_with_milgrain.jpg
with ER as above

3.This version with stones in the basket instead of wire/prongs. Would you add pave stones to make 3 sided?pave_halo_0.jpg

4. Would you do hint of colour pink sapphires in these band design either side?

I really would like your input and ideas?

Really thank you for your thoughts

Would the Adiamor version be similar or would the Katharine James be of superior quality? I suspect a big price difference would it be worth it?

The Adimaor would be slightly custom and not as floral/scalloped in platinum. I was drawn to Katharine's floral and fine detail and twisted bands but happy for suggestions and considerations of value for money.

For me personally I would stick with straight bands if you are going to flank that ER. I think if you do curved bands that it is too busy and you lose the classic look of that ring. For me this is a prime example of bigger/ blinger is not always BETTER!

And pending your budget for 2 micropave straight bands I would skip those designers and have SK or VC do them for me. I would rather have quality hand forged especially on rings that I wear daily. I'm hard on my jewelry so I want to make sure they last. If I'm going to pay a premium I would rather do it knowing the quality is there.

Thanks very much for your reply.

My intention was certainly not to select a designer ring. However, I really was caught by this design. It isnt something I've seen before. You can see I am getting an eye for nice things. Typical my taste was some fancy ring but I do totally love jewellery and I only have a few pieces and I will wear them everyday . This new set I will only wear it out not around the house etc. we have almost been married for 20 years so this is my upgrade.

Is there an average setting price : centre stone ratio most people stick to as a guide or is it personal choice.

I have been very patient. I bought my 1.52ct RB last Sept and am only now planning to set it.....it is killing me to have a pretty loose stone in a display box. I want to enjoy it but not scare my husband all at once. I wanted to make sure it is a long term setting I love too.

That beautiful Emilyo halo is still lovely and totally timeless. I am very girly floral and love bling spandle with a sporty Ellen style hair cut.. The KJ is still my first choice.

I have listened and I do agree straight bands are the way to go.

You suggest hand forged...... Is the designers likely to be a cast. Sorry I''m new to these terms. Do I ask if hand forged. I read this as stronger and stones are hand placed. I will google these definitions.

Am I to ask anything else? I was wanting the inside of my rings to be a comfort rounded feel.

For the straight rings would you suggest full cut stones and only one/top surface if worn with ER or would you get them three sided full eternity/stones all around. I dont want to wear a spacer or have rings damaged by rubbing. Is a plain band the only way to avoid this? I really wanted diamonds on the bands.

Thank you for the advise of the best vendors to go for my style. I will still stick with the ER as is I think as I will be guaranteed I love it and will just have to convince myself it is worth it. I haven't really seen anything like it and I keep coming back to it.

Thank you so much I'm listening and learning.

Should I be asking or clarifying anything else. Do you think 2mm bands would be strong and pretty. KJ due to disclosing design can't tell me how width bands are. I wanted to know how thick the ER was too. I wanted to make sure the ring feels weight and specia/strong/substantial. I do understand but I am trying to also order the correct ring size, as wearing three rings together and in total it will be wide I think I should go up 1/2 size. I like my rings loose and ready for our hot summers. In Australia I wear j1/2 = I think is equal to a 5, mine is 3mm wide currently and it is on the firm side on perfect. I was thinking going 6 but more likely 6.5 as it will be better loose. Does this sound about right?
