I recently upgraded my DBTY necklace to platinum and after I received it back from WF, I realized I would feel more secure if I had an additional safety chain attached to the clasp. I bought a sterling silver clasp like the one below, but does anyone know if it's OK to use a silver safety chain/clasp like this for a platinum necklace? Would the silver embed or otherwise damage the platinum necklace? I don't want to damage the platinum necklace, but I'm OK if the silver is not as durable or is gradually worn away by the platinum as the silver chain is cheap and easy to replace. Advice would be gratefully received. :wavey:

Great idea to give you some added security. Wearing the two together should not be a problem at all:) Enjoy your new necklace!

It should be ok but ask WF to make sure they are ok with it for your warranty.

Silver is much softer than Platinum so I think it would be a useful safety feature that shouldn't cause much, if any, wear to the chain itself!

Thanks for chiming in, @oohshiny @Katie hormuth !! @Karl_K, thanks, that's a good idea to check with WF. :)
