This is just an "out of curiosity" query, but I was wondering....
Would it be possible--through polishing, I guess?--to get an IF stone to become a Fl one? I realize it would be a waste of carat weight since it'd be valuable enough as IF, but I was curious, since whatever keeps an IF from being Fl is external.
(In no case would I be buying either of those clarity grades--or even VVS for that matter--but the thought ocurred to me and I was just curious!!)
