Hello, all. I have been researching for a diamond for about 4 months with my bf and came across this site. I have been reading posts and searching the forums looking for great advice and I know that I will get some here!
I know others have purchased and really liked engagement settings from signed pieces. As far as settings go, I am looking for something feminine, sparkly, a little dainty, and just plain perfect for my hand. I am considering the following setting:

As my bf and I are graduate students, we do not have a ton of money to spend but we definately have a good budget.
I believe we have decided on a RB center stone just under 1.00 (.85-.99). Other details are not important for this particular question (although the stone will be ideal cut f-h in clarity, 55 table etc).
Do you all think that this setting would look nice with a diamond around that size? I do not want a large diamond, I just want a good size that fits the setting I am considering. Would an even smaller diamond look slightly overpowered in a totally diamondy setting?
Also, if anyone has any pictures of this (that they have purchased) please show me some pictures. I am open to comments and suggestions.
Thank you all!
