I am looking at a 3.0 Moisssanite center stone with a half band of stones around it as well as a matching half wedding band in the same size stones… I have a thing about side stones being very tiny almost to where you can’t really tell if they are diamonds…. I have looked at pictures online and I believe a 2.4mm size looks good, but I visually I’m having a hard time seeing how that would look with a 3 carat stone.
I do not want to get it and have the side stones overpower the main stone, since the main stone is the star.. I do have some pictures of the ring that I’m thinking of ordering with the 2.4mm stones but I really would like to know if anyone has an opinion on this…
I did look at 2.0mm size stones plain bands and they kind of look like they would be too small but then again up against the 3 carat stone maybe it would be perfect? For reference my ring size is 6.75-7. I have been agonizing over this for over a week… I have been married 20 years and I can finally get the perfect ring but I just want to be sure ♥️

I know how you feel! I just upgraded mine after 20 years too!! I stressed about the size of the band exactly the same as you are and started second guessing my decision. I chose a 2.25mm band with a 2.96 ct oval lab diamond, and the band is still very small, but not too small. I am very happy with my choice, and I don't think the band competes with the stone at all.

Oh my goodness! I am so glad you were able to send me a picture… It is so very difficult when you look at a band by itself with the size stones because you just don’t know what it will look like all together so I’m so thankful you were able to send me that picture… It seems like I’m heading down the right direction I’m definitely glad I did not go with a 2 mm stone now I think I would definitely not have been happy I’m glad you understood what I meant. I need an accompaniment to the main show, not a show stealer. Lol

Glad to help! I pair it with a wedding band that is 2mm, and I can't tell a difference between them. They're so similar in size. Originally, I put a 2mm band on both sides of the e ring, but I found that look does take away from the center stone, so now I only wear one band.
