I'm considering this diamond from Whiteflash Premium selection. They say it is eye-clean and here is the GIA report. Should I be concerned? The stone has apparently just missed their ACA criteria and is significantly less because of it. It's G color, 1.4ct, and will be mounted in a platinum solitaire setting.

Can you attach the video of this diamond? So far, I see no reason to pass it up, but I haven’t seen it in motion....

I don't see the GIA report, just the inclusion plot. If they say it's eye clean, it is (pursuant to their definition).

Are clouds in the listed inclusions, or comments? If so, is specifically ask whether clouds impact light performance.

ETA: clouds are number 2 listed, and "additional... not shown" in comments. So do ask WF for a gemologist to review that for you. It does look like a nice stone.

It scores very well on the HCA Tool:

So, Cut isn’t a problem; it will perform very well.
From what I could see, referring to your concern about clarity, none of the inclusions sit against nor directly under the table. They are hidden in plain sight, and do not seem to interfere with its brilliance & performance.
I agree with @ringo865: confirm with WF’s gemologist that the inclusions do not effect the stone, negatively (ie: cause haziness, cloudiness, or weakness).
Once you have that confirmed, there should be no reason to pass on it.
Others may disagree, so let’s find out what they have to contribute to the discussion.
Do you have this diamond on hold? If not, please do...quickly.

Put it on hold! I'd ask the gemologist, not sales person, to review for any impact from the clouds. If no, it's very nice.

Thank you Matthews1127, I have the diamond on reserve at the moment. I'm working with Whiteflash on an upgrade. They have my current 1.21 ct stone which is a GIA xxx but would be an AGS 1 by those standards. My current stone has an HCA of 5.4 and while it's still a pretty stone, I think I can do better before I propose in April. I've had the current stone for 2 year waiting for the right time (not procrastinating - her sister got engaged and I didn't want to rain on their parade)
