Absolutely. The pink sapphire is 11.22x8.4 and the halo diamonds are 3.2mm each. The ring definitely has presence on my hand and I was worried it would be too big but apparently I’m a true PSer because I had no problem with the size once I put it on. Oh, and my finger size is 4.75.

5.05 unheated Sri Lankan sapphire surrounded by 1.75 halo in 18K. My only sapphire but I wear her every day as my e-ring. I did change the prongs to be a smidge thicker as some PS'rs suggested when I first got her.

I have a few, all from my Grand Mother. My avatar that I had reset in a new custom setting, an oval sapphire,7 carats set in 18kt gold and silver with diamonds, a small oval set- in platinum with diamonds either Edwardian or Art Deco, an 18 kt. eternity band, and a small sapphire set in 18kt gold with enamel, pearls and diamonds. These are what I have in ring form. I only wear the avatar and the oval 18kt.The others sit in our safe. I will pass them on to my daughters and Grand Daughters. The small sapphire in platinum is smaller than what I love on my hand. The eternity band is very large in diameter and too big for me to wear. The enamel ring is just not my cup of tea.

I love enamel pieces!

Ack, I love this thread! I have way too many sapphires and not enough settings! Here is my 2.54 CT unheated Burma sapphire, which I just can't decide how to set it.



My .94 CT Sri Lanka cornflower blue, who I'm thinking of setting with warm old cut diamonds.



And my 3.65 unheated Madagascar purple, who just arrived today from that notorious bastion of glamour, Pawn America! I'm still wondering if I like this setting or not, but the sapphire is a winner. She's much flashier in real life

Oh wow, that looks a bit like this one! Mine is allegedly from the late 1800s, and the original owner was Austro-Hungarian. Mine is marked with a star of David with a T on the inside, which I haven't been able to find online. You'll have to post your hallmarks when you get it back!

It's amazing that rings back then didn't have to be huge to be beautiful.
