I’ve always wanted to try one of these but I’ve never found anywhere that serves the real deal. It just looks freaking cool!

I was a teacher in a summer program for kids one year. The kitchen lesson one week (taught by another lady) was baked Alaska. I was shocked at how easy it actually was. Find a recipe and give it a go!

Nothing fancy..Homemade pizza tonight!

Eggplant parm, pasta with tomato and basil, and some green beans.

(Pie) π95 Pizza. Tonight was a Margherita pizza, meatballs with a hot honey sauce marinara, and an arugula caesar salad. Hubs has a Pabst and a chardonnay for me. They used to be a food truck serving several counties in northern FL but are now a fixture in our neighborhood. Their food truck (in the background) will serve as the bar for an outdoor beer garden in the near future. It was such a beautiful evening we walked to and from the restaurant from our house!

Tomorrow is my youngest son’s birthday, so made him a special dinner today, we all work tomorrow and he works later hours than I do, so I made something new , this is stuffed French toast with bacon and sausage.

This makes very good sense to me. If it is, the black splotches are probably octopus ink.

My favorites are the chocolate ones with chocolate icing, filled with peanut butter and sprinkled with crushed peanut butter candy on top. My second favorite are the ones that are like oreos. My third... well... you see how this goes!

tonight I made an asparagus, prosciutto and tomato quiche. Kind of an experiment of additions. Turned out well. Side (no photo) was just an arugula salad with pine nuts and a dijon vinaigrette. Desert will be a piece of chocolate chip bread pudding. No wonder I've put on a few pounds.

Having a small get together to actually celebrate our sons birthday, we will be grilling burgers and making coney dogs, pairing it with homemade cheesy potatoes and various snacks, he is a big fan of the boxed jello cheesecake so just finished that and yeah gonna slap those ridiculously expensive but yummy cherries on it !
