Thanks! It's from Maria of The Northway Studio and she hand-carves all of her beautiful pieces in wax for casting. She says she's working on a pink sapphire version of this.

I'm so jealous! It's beautiful.
I love Northway, but she doesn't set outside stones anymore:(sad.
Feel sorry for me, and take lots of pictures.
Have you seen the Lumiere band? I die!

Ooh yes, that is a gorgeous band! I’m also obsessed with the Scrying Mirror that she made in emerald. If only she still worked with outside stones!

Thank you! She shall be named Daisy.

Omg @JPie that is THE most perfect name. My mom always has Shasta daisies in her garden and their centers are exactly this cheery color. You are brilliant (and so is your new ring)!

Aaw, thank you! That’s exactly the type of daisy that I had in mind.

@JPie wow gorgeous ring, I didn’t recognize this as a Northway piece but I love all her jewelry. The Scrying Mirror is a favorite of mine as well.

Thanks! It reminds me of Georgian rings I’ve admired, but I’m happy I won’t have to baby this the same way I would with an antique.

Does anyone know what the origin of this ring, made by the ancient people in Eastern Europe, may be? 9976070D-F1BA-4D38-A1CA-FD8C2B6F1551.jpeg E4EE7913-BB90-49EC-A796-038D54855EC7.jpeg A3131A4D-D4A2-4E09-B463-33DDA3E11FFE.jpeg DF7BDC79-F2E7-47EE-92BC-7E51C97A3513.jpeg

We purchased the diamond separately and then had Daniel M custom make this setting for it in platinum.

I just bought this ring for my birthday :) The hallmark suggests it was assayed in 1894 (Chester). Its 18ct and has genuine old cut diamonds and sapphires. I wanted a Victorian ring and I am just in love with it!

After years of longing for a hexagon or octogon setting I now have two octogon ladies!

I was shopping for a setting for a 1.12 lab mrb for my wedding anniversary in March, but then I came across this amazing vintage octogon that I HAD TO HAVE.

PXL_20210310_231101243~2.jpg

So I stole a little from the anniversary budget to get it for my 30th bday this month. The MRB then went into one of the cheapest Ivy&Rose settings which happens to be ...an octogon!

So now I have two lovely octogon ladies, one with a small transitional and an ornate setting, and another one with a bigger stone and more basic setting :kiss2:

Where did you find that octagonal ring, it's stunning in detail?

I purchased this about 10 years ago from an antique dealer in historic St Augustine, Florida. I took it to my jeweler and he said it is certainly old as the gold is hand tooled. The prongs get caught and one of the “petals” got tweaked so I need to take it in. 0571BB51-269E-4CD2-B422-E7137A000C03.jpeg 4FEAB1CF-8CB7-419B-941E-F15B99725467.jpeg

I really like your gold wave rings. What is their story? They're perfect!

Thank you! The wave rings are my in-laws wedding set from 1979. My husband’s father passed several years before I met him. My MIL continued wearing her ring because it was stuck on her finger! A year after our wedding I asked her where they bought the set because I always admired the ring and wanted my own. So she got her ring cut off and resized and gifted us the set I usually wear it on my middle finger because it ended up a little loose for my ring finger and I don’t want to resize it again (and I figure my knuckles/finger will probably grow in the next 20-30 years haha).

Sure! She lost a diamond to cleaning so she’s on her way to Sako.

That is a gorgeous ring - It is a Georgian era piece? The diamonds look so nice and bright, and the side detail is beautiful. It looks wonderful on you!

Thank you! Good eye - she’s late Georgian, circa 1830.
