Definitely! I love the simplicity of the first cameo and that brooch on the right is the most yummy shade of gold! How do you wear your brooches? I’ve just bought a couple and I don’t think I will convert. Do you wear them on coats or blouses or what?

I am quirky -- I am male and I wear brooches! I tend to wear mine on either shirt collars or sweaters. Some of the brooches are meant to be on a stiff, substantial fabric so assistance such as a little cylinder of a sponge is necessary to keep a cameo, for instance, upright rather than dipping forward.

Your brooches look amazing! I particularly love the one in the first photo, it pops, can we have a close up?
Thanks for the cameo tip I think I will try that as you are right they do tip forward easily.
Incidentally I saw a man the other day with a large diamond/sapphire dragonfly brooch on his lapel, it looked absolutely gorgeous!
What other jewellery do you wear?

Wow stunning. That bracket is crazy good. You can’t even tell it was ever a watch!

Thanks! DK and his team really hit it out of the park, I think. I had the Paraiba for years prior to finding the watch on ebay. It was a match meant to be!

Red spinel and diamond antique earrings and my antique platinum watch which was broken brought back to life by DK placing my Paraiba in place of the face.

Oh wow they are such beautiful heirloom pieces! The work DK did with setting the paraiba is really in line with how the diamonds are set. Any chance of photos of you wearing both? It’s hard to gauge the size of the earrings.

Sure. Please excuse the ugly stretched out piercings I have from being a teenager in the early 90s and wearing way to heavy of earrings. These are between 18kt and 20kt according to my jeweler and are quite heavy too. I'm considering a bypass bangle conversion so they won't just sit in the safe. I wish I could capture the diamond sparkles on both the earrings and the bracelet. 20220823_140912.jpg 20220823_141004.jpg 20220823_141007.jpg

Oh they look fabulous! I love them as earrings but if you aren’t wearing them because of the weight a bangle would look amazing plus you would be able to admire more easily!
Your brackets look gorgeous layered together. I like that it is substantial but doesn’t dominate your diamonds by the yard bracelet.

Gorgeous hair and I’m jealous of that bracelet.

Maybe someone here knows how this brooch was worn? I'm thinking it might be a ladies watch and chain holder? I doubt it was worn at the throat because it has a large sticker pin on the back side of the clasp besides the tiny guard chain and straight pin you can see. It's dated 1888 if that helps 20200225_171938.jpg

This is a gorgeous piece and the stones are lovely!! Are these the diamonds you are considering selling per your other thread? If yes, when you are in SF check out Lang Antiques in addition to Jewels by Grace.

I don’t know but I see an amazing conversion piece! Perhaps a moi et toi ring? Lovely!

Recent eBay acquisition- cute Navette with brownies. They are lighter colored than the closeup shot. 8373CE79-270F-4957-8A9B-05C59FAF8A26.jpeg 19122042-E5D4-4541-B413-6926BC171568.jpeg

My snake ring is off being resized at the moment. It’s quite an unusual coppery gold colour. It’s also 12ct which I hadn’t come across before. The vendor dated her to about 1870. I will get some better photos when she returns. F98CDD51-583F-4801-B45C-041180AD8611.jpeg

This is exquisite!!!

Cluster diamond earrings made up of central old mine cuts and surrounding old European cuts. The metal holding the diamonds is silver and the rest 18k yellow gold. My jeweller thinks the diamond components were removed from a much more grand piece of jewellery in the 1950’s and repurposed to daily wear studs. TCW approximately 3

We’ll that was hard. Over 30 ear selfies later. Sorry it’s a little blurry 9859ECCD-CA84-4ACB-8AB5-98585649137D.jpeg

I don’t think many of my rings are old enough to be antique but these are the ones that probably come the closest.

This is actually on consignment but I’m going to request it back since it hasn’t sold. I knew it was special the moment I saw it.

The daisy ring probably makes the cut, I think it might have been a conversion because I haven’t seen another daisy like this with two airlines.

This one is definitely old, that sapphire is what got me.
