please and thank you! doesn't matter what type of gem it is, as long as it is yellow!

I have a yellow zircon I would love to have set into a 'sometimes' ring, but could use a little help with ring style/metal choice and whatnot. I would love to see what fantastic pricescopers have out there :halo:

Two good places to look are in the colored gemstone forum and on the second page of the "helpful links archive" there is a link for colored diamond and a link for yellow diamonds.

This is my W-X AVC, which is a delicate lemony yellow. Haven't decided how to set it yet :sun: .

stunning stones babynurse!

Thank you, Amy!

I have another yellow stone to post, just have to locate a pic...

well here are my baby yellow dandelion sapphires from Gary Braun... that will go in a Diana Vincent esque three stone semi bezel in the next couple of months :naughty: resetting my Modern RB in the center of the ring.. all three are around .31ctish each.

Terrible camera phone picture, but it sparkles like crazy and rivals my diamond

Yellow sapphire.

Here is my yellow beryl asscher from Gene at Precision Gem. It's about 5.5 carats, 10 mm. This is the vendor pic which isn't very accurate color-wise (Gene's pics are usually very close). The color is closer to the brightest, light areas that you see on the stone. It's a really beautiful shade of pure yellow, no brown or green.

BN, that AVC is so gorgeous I can't even tell you! Good heavens woman I'd love to play in your jewelry box w/your yellows. Do you have any pics of the beryl? I don't recall a thread in CS about tsk tsk tsk! I do believe you are the owner of one yellow chrysoberyl that I am insanely fond of as well!

Thanks, packrat! Yes, the AVC is absolutely a dream, just amazing in person.

I have to get off my lazy bum and photograph the yellow beryl. I haven't started a thread on it-- actually I haven't started threads on most of my stones, because I just haven't gotten around to it  (You know, little kids and all...). When I got the AVC and the AVR, I agreed to "cool it" with the gemstone purchases. So I haven't bought anything since January but I have a ton of stones from last year to photograph and begin threads on.

Ok, here's my last yellow (thanks for reminding me, packrat). It's a 4.5 carat chrysoberyl, 9.5mm, purchased from Barry Bridgestock at ACStones .

BN, should you decide yellow is not for you, I will gladly take any/all of them off your hands.

Well these are terrible photos, but here's my 1.35ct VVS2 square cushion fancy yellow diamond with heart shaped side stones. The pictures don't do it justice I need a good camera.

How pretty!

"tsk tsk" indeed to baby nurse for not posting more pics of those beauties!

and to kimber418.... I'm in love! who is the setting by? it is just lovely, so delicate!

ETA: raindancer! love your ring and your fabulous nails :wink2: do you find that you like the yellow gold prongs better against the yellow vs if they were in white? after seeing yours and a few others on the link amys bling suggested, that's what I'm starting to lean towards: yellow right around the gem, white for everything else!

Here is my 1.21 fancy yellow radiant with a pink halo and .65 white three sided pave.

I don't have anything to add but all of these stones and pieces are so pretty! Those heart side stones are a great idea!

Here's my L-M VVS2 OEC (1ct) It's such a soft, beautiful shade of yellow!

They're all gorgeous, Lauren! I especially love your grossular garnet asscher from Gene

I found one more yellow to share (it's definitely time to get these set!) This is a 1.6 carat, 6.7 x 8.9 grossular garnet pear from Peter Torraca.

kas baby,

The yellow sapphire is set in platinum and it was made by Calvin. It is a private jeweler in Austin TX. Thanks!

oh my, but i love this stone! i don't know if i could afford the diamond version but I so need a asscher cut yellow stone of some kind. Just perfection!

 Thanks L2S.
This pic was taken on the bottom of an old solid sterling silver tray we found at a garage sale for under a buck.
I just love diamonds on silver.

There are so many beautiful yellows here, especially LTP's asschers. :lickout: :lickout:
That was the only pure (per GIA) yellow I have - I disagree with GIA this time BTW that this is a pure yellow.
I have two other yellow FCDs but they have green and orange in them so I shouldn't post them in this thread.

You do have such a great artistic eye Kenny, that tray perfectly enhances every aspect of that stone. Yet, it is so subtle I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out!
