I'm currently deciding between the Whiteflash 7 stone in either .75 or 1ct size. My ering is a 1ct round classic 6 prong solitaire.

I know, I know, most PSers prefer a smaller stone size for the 7 stone when pairing with a 1ct ering. Most of the time, I will wear the 7 stone alone. But, DH really wants me to be able to wear the ring with my ering for special events. And, DH much prefers the larger 1ct size for the 7 stone.

If you have the Whiteflash 7 stone in any size, please show me your pics. I'd especially love to see it with your ering.

Does anyone have the Whiteflash 7 stone? I thought because WF is such a popular vendor on PS that there might be some of you who have that particular ring. I'm really just looking for some IRL pictures.

Many of you have gorgeous 5 and 7 stone rings. I've enjoyed looking at them for so long that now I'd like to have one of my own. Thanks, though, to all of you who have taken the time to read this post.

My 7 stone isn't from WF, but since there are no replies yet I figured I'd throw mine in :) My e-ring is a 1.2 center with .50ctw sides, and my 7 stone is 1.47ctw. I mostly wear mine separately. I have a little regret in not getting a smaller weight band so I could wear them together, but sometimes I do bling it out and wear them together anyway!

I do not have any 7-stone ring. You are asking to see a 7-stone ring in either 0.75 or 1 ct size, so the size of the diamond melees is about 0.11ct-0.15ct. I know Woobug02 has a 9-stone diamond/ruby ring with melees of 0.15ct. Her ring (and finger shots) will give you an idea about the size. Just pretend that it is a 7-stone ring. In her finger shot, the two end stones are hidden anyway, so you see only the seven, middle diamonds.

I was drooling over woobu02's ring for a while before deciding to go for full eternity (because of spinning problem due to myrelatively larger knuckle). Here is the link to her SMTB thread.

Don't know your finger size. Just make sure that 7-stone provides enough coverage lengthwise.

Lastly, I suggest that you go with melee size closer to 0.10ct. I think 0.15ct will overwhelm your center diamond.

AP1976, your rings are beautiful. I love the sapphires on your ering! And, yea, it is really blingy with both rings together - but, oh what lovely bling! It helps a lot to see how your rings look together. Even though they are larger than mine in stone size, it gives me perspective.

I worry that if I go with the 1ct,I will have some regret when I wear everything together, so I understand what you mean. Of course, when I wear it alone, the extra bling would be nice.

Yours looks amazing either way. I think the sapphires balance out the larger stones on your wedding ring very nicely. I'd say to bling away!

FancyDiamond, now we are both drooling over woobu02's 9 stone ring. Wowza! I love the rubies and diamonds together. And, it looks quite substantial on her hand.

I'm a ring size 7, so coverage was one of the considerations between the two sizes. The larger stones give me perfect coverage, but honestly it seems that there wouldn't be that much difference.

Seems like a big question for me is how often I'll wear everything together. Do I go with what will look better when I wear it all together maybe 10 to 20 % of the time. Or, do I go for a bit more bling with the day to day when I'll wear only the band?

When this whole thing started, I wanted 5 to 8 pointers. I still think that would look best when everything is worn together. But DH knows I wear my plain gold band alone most of the time, so he's all about bumping up the bling a bit.

Isn't it nice to have such problems?

I have decided long time ago that I can't have it both ways - a diamond ring that goes with my ER (proportion-wise) and a blingy, stand-alone ring with large diamonds. Therefore, I got an eternity ring with small diamond size that matches my ER and a separate 5-stone ring (well, actually two) with large diamonds. I find my 5-stone ring very handy. I wear my 5-stone ring more often than my ER, because it is less expensive than my ER (therefore less risk involved). When I need the extra bling, then I pair my eternity ring with my ER.

If I were you, I would get 1. a 5-stone Trellis ring with the biggest diamonds I can afford (0.40ct-0.50ct each), and 2. a 9-stone ring with 0.08ct-0.10ct diamonds. You do not need to get both rings at the same time. Just get each gradually.

I think a 9-stone band can provide the needed finger coverage, so it is better than a 7-stone ring for you. However, if you do have large knuckles (spinning problem) and if you do not mind about having diamonds on the back side of your finger (need to be extra careful), then an eternity ring would be the best.

Fancy Diamond is a wise lady! I think she's completely right. Either get something petite that pairs with your ering or get something as blingy as possible for stand alone use. If you try to split the difference I'm afraid you'll have a ring that doesn't really satisfy in either situation. And I love her idea of maximizing size by going with a five stone and then at a later date getting a dainty eternity to wear with your ering. Brilliant!

FancyDiamond, you've really reached the heart of the matter. I was trying to have it both ways. Under 10 pts wouldn't have enough oomph to stand alone. And over 10 pts was way out of proportion with the ering.

There will be other rings in my future and this one needs to be one thing or the other. After seeing Woobu02's ring, I'm loving the idea of 15 pt stones in a delicate band for a standalone ring. Then, at a later time, an eternity band will be perfect with my ering.

Thank you for helping me sort this out. Rosebloom is right. You are a very wise lady.

Rosebloom, thanks for weighing in. After hanging out here for a long, long time (mostly lurking) I've learned that I can value your judgement.

I have a 15 pt eternity band from WF so you can see what a similar 7 stone band would look like for perspective:

M2B, your picture is really helpful. I think 15 pts will be just right for me. I'm wanting something delicate, but with enough bling to stand alone and that seems to be about right.

Your rings are all gorgeous, btw. I've enjoyed scrolling through your collection posts many a time.
