I love the Tacori 2620. I've tried on a sample with a 1 carat CZ and it was beautiful. My diamond is .61 and I'm wondering if the details of the ring would still be evident in a ring made to fit a smaller diamond. My ring size is 3.50-3.75. Does anyone have a Tacori 2620 made with a diamond close to 61 points?

I saw one in a jewelry store in a 2620 halo and it looked nice, but that center stone couldn't have been more than 1/4 carat! Really made the center pop, actually. I liked it!

Thanks ecf! I was hoping to hear that!

Not to threadjack, but, dreamingoftacori, how long have you been waiting? It will be 4 weeks on Saturday for me. I'm getting SO antsy!

4 weeks on Thursday!? I've been hearing that the rush to order before the increase in prices made the wait time about 5 weeks! So I'm hoping that ordering slightly before it put me at the front of that pack! My sister got a cushion put into a 2620 an got hers in about 4 weeks and that was last month. (we both ordered almost identical Tacori settings without knowing! Luckily I changed mine at the last minute)

What did you order? I got the 2639rd halo without pave shanks in white gold. I'm debating doing a custom wedding band or ordering the 2521et as a wedding band which would just restart the wait again. Its been a hard few weeks! Can't wait to see it though. Did your jeweler give you an expected date?

That is such a gorgeous ring!

Uh, upcoming price increase?

I got the 4015RD6 in platinum (pictured below):

4015RD6_multi.zoom.jpg

4015RD6_alt.jpg

It's incredibly simple compared to most Tacori rings but I really liked the details for those who look closely. I ordered on February 26th, so it's probably stuck in the order rush--I was actually wondering if that was going to happen. I ordered through GOG and just said it would take 4 weeks. I've been restraining myself from bugging Sarah and asking for a more exact date. Haha.

Even then, the ring is being shipped to my boyfriend, and then he'll hang onto it until he proposes, which will hopefully be sooner than later. I'm a pretty impatient person in general, so he teases me that he's going to make me wait to teach me how to be more patient. He better not be serious!

I'm also not sure what to do about a wedding band! I'm thinking an eternity (or half eternity) of some sort, but I haven't found anything I love yet (well, anything I love for what I'd like to pay).

The price increase was earlier this month.

My tacori took 6 weeks =/

I went to a B & M a few weeks ago and I was quoted a price a little over $2300 for the 2620. I wonder if that price reflects the price increase. :?

Autumnovember: I'm hoping since I got a fairly simple Tacori it will be finished earlier--we'll see!

gendandy: the price increase was implemented on March 1st, if that helps.

I was originally looking at the 2620. These were the prices before the increase for the small and medium sizes I was looking at:

Platinum Small Head without side pave = $2810
Platinum Medium Head without side pave = roughly $3100 or $3200 ?
Platinum Small head with pave = $3300
White Gold Small Head without side pave = $1850

This website has links to the prices for each option:
http://www.tqdiamonds.com/shop-online/engagement-rings/tacori/tacori-18-karat-dantela-engagement-ring-2620rdsmp-2.html

Based on your quote from the other dealer it seems like you were going for white gold? And apparently Tacori has settings now for stones between 0.50ct* to 0.69ct* I would double check with a dealer though, you can never be too sure about the internet listed prices.

Style# 2620 RD MN which is White Gold without side pave: $1,940
Style# 2620 RD MN P which is White Gold with side pave: $2,540

But websites can also be off by a little too. Best to check again by calling and speaking to someone in person.

I'm so anxious and I'm not patient by nature either so it's been quite hard. I can't wait to see the ring. I've already planned most of the wedding, just waiting for the ring to make the announcement official!

That's one of the benefits of going white gold for us. The Tacori bands are affordable (more so at least) in white gold versus platinum. Also, I like white gold's hardness over platinum because the nicks would eventually drive me nuts and I'd be polishing every other week.

The band we are looking at is:
http://www.since1910.com/wedding-rings/tacori/tacori-diamond-eternity-pave-band-2521et-pi1302.aspx
If not, we may go with a custom eternity band to get more carat weight for the same or less price. Not fully sure

And then this is the link to the engagement ring:

And this will most likely be my Bf's wedding ring:

*Sigh* I just ordered a Tacori Tuesday. Hope it wasn't too much of an increase.

It was supposedly about 10%.

Those are all really great! I love them all! I was thinking of that wedding band for myself as well. I just have to figure out what our budget is for wedding bands--I'm not even sure about the budget for the wedding yet!

Ah well, I'll live :) I'm excited to see everyone's new Tacoris though, once they come in! The wait is so annoying - I already want mine to be done!

The bands in platinum at ridiculously priced. I don't think I could justify spending close to $4k on a ring with .4 carats roughly. It's insane! The white gold I can convince myself easier. The setting is always less than the bands and it's so much more intricate. Originally when we looked at the platinum setting I was for sure going custom but since we got the white gold it makes it a harder decision. Let me know what you choose. I think with your setting you have more options. My fear of going custom is the girdle of the diamonds hurting the basket of the diamond. Also, we sacrificed on purr wedding budget to get better rings. The wedding is a day and the ring will be worn forever.

10 percent over the lifetime of the ring isn't too bad. No worries. We are looking at tacori wedding bands and we will have to endure the price increase too. At least it wasn't something crazy that brought it out of reach

Agreed. I just can't justify paying that much for a simple band with minimal diamonds. I would consider white gold, but I don't know if that would be weird with a platinum e-ring? I would have gotten a white gold e-ring, too, but it was the one thing my boyfriend insisted on--getting me platinum. I wasn't going to argue with that! Not that one is inherently better than the other, I know each has its pros and cons.

Let me know what you decide on as well!

I've heard you shouldn't mix because the harder white gold will scratch and damage the platinum which is softer. My bf initially pushed for platinum too. But in the end we putting the extra $1k to the diamond and then decreases the price of the wedding band. I like the warmth of white gold and my local tacori dealer will rhodium for me for free if I need it. Also, my bf's ex and him had matching platinum bands before, so in protest I'm going white gold (Pety? Most likely. But it's a long story)

Today is my 4 week anniversary still no word! Let me know if you hear anything?

Will do! Likewise! Thanks for the advice re: mixing white gold and PT!

I just received my ring today! The bf/soon to be fiance is holding it hostage until he proposes properly with it. Will post when he does! Hopefully yours has come or will soon!

I just saw this now! And I saw your engagement post. Congratulations (even though you're supposed to say best wishes)!

Funny enough, I emailed Sarah yesterday asking if she knew when it would be in and she gave a really cryptic reply about how she "didn't have any info for me at this point" and she'd call the number she was provided with when it came in. I know my boyfriend told Food Old Gold to have the ring sent to him so I'm thinking he told them not to tell me when it came in, too. Sneaky! Then again, I am too! I really did have a question about the prongs though... but I'm sure it will be fine.

So excited you got yours! I hope that means mine is coming soon, too! I've been having dreams almost every night! I had a dream last night that Sarah called me and, apparently, was going to tell me about the timeline of the setting (i.e. when it would be finished) but we got cut off right before she could tell me!

Congrats again! So happy for you!

My ring arrived today! My boyfriend has it... who knows how long it will be until he proposes but I hope it's soon!

btw, tomorrow would have been exactly 6 weeks. That little sucker took a LONG time!

That's a big difference! I ordered two days before you and got it a week before!

Also make sure you double check the setting. I noticed today my diamond was set off center but im not going to fix it. The prongs are too delicate and I'm scared of potential damage. This ring is on my finger and never leaving! I couldn't bare to be away from it for that long.

Keep us updated! I hope you love it!!

Yikes, for 4k, I'd get a set from Van Craeynest...lol
