Lisa I thought you had a typo when you said your ring is 1.01, then I saw your user name...the rock looks much bigger than that on you. you must have TINY fingers!
Kissmark yeah I know sometimes it looks huge and then at others - eh (that old DSS).

I wear a 4.25 and am pretty petite. Still do you think aspiring to 1.5 or 2 ct. is obscene?

No not at all!! I''m the same finger size, and that''s what I''m dreaming to upgrade to :)

Hi!
35.gif

I don''t wear much jewelry but here is my Tiffany Collection. The items are terribly tarnished but I haven''t worn a few of them for many years! I have the sterling silver Elsa Peretty Cross, Elsa Peretti Open Heart, and another heart which I can''t remember the name of that is in very bad shape! I also have a Tiffany Solitaire diamond pendant 0.29 F VS1 in platinum which my BF just bought for me recently.
Sorry for the blurry pics but I''m not used to using macro. The light source is one of those full spectrum desk lamps with the light coming from the left.

Here are the close-ups of the solitaire.

Another close-up. Sorry I don''t know how to attach 2 photos to one post. This is slightly less blurry.

Hey Kalypso you should post one of you fire photos of your pendant in the fire thread here!

Beautiful and thanks for sharing.

Wow Mayflower are you going for anymore bling ever?

Any pics. of your e-ring or WB?

I am a lurker but I''ll bite! Hopefully posting this will work. My 1.26 ct solitaire... I''m a size 4 for reference.

Our wedding bands! Just got them last week. I actually didn''t get the matching knife-edge, I got the Lucida instead.

Beautiful!! We are ring twins!

However, yours is bigger than mine.

What are the specs?

congrats and we need pics of the WB w/ e-ring too!

Thanks! It''s an I VVS2. I thought the I in color might be too warm, but I can''t tell the difference! Ignorance is bliss, I suppose! I love love love the setting and couldn''t be happier with it. I feel like I can spot one from a mile away. What band do you wear yours with? Did I miss that?

I have the channel set 2 mm heres a pic:

Has your curiosity over all the discussion on cut parameters been peeked?

And what are the crown/pav/angles, etc. of your stone?

Isn''t the Tiffany classic such an itch that''s been scratched?

Hi, beautiful rings! Could you please tell me how many mm your Lucida is? Is it 2mm? Do you have any other pictures? I''m about to buy one of those two styles, so I was very excited to see your post.

Thanks for the compliment!

It''s actually really lively and pretty in person.

I haven''t posted it on the fire thread because, well, I''m actually not sure what''s being shown in my photos!

(I just skimmed a bit of the fire thread to look at the beautiful stones

haven''t read many comments!!

) .... Fire, flashes, flares, glare, reflection, refracted light etc. etc. I kind of like exact definitions. I think I need to find a tutorial where they actually have arrows pointing to different parts of the diamonds that show examples of what is being shown to get a better idea!

I guess I should

thru all the fire thread posts but haven''t had a chance to do that yet!

Hi there,
I''m new and wanted to know how high your crown setting is? Would you kindly measure the height of your setting? I''m looking to see if mine is high compared to others. My prong setting, not including the ring is 5mm.

Thanks!

DMBgal82, it''s too late for me to edit my post but can I please add that it''s his ring that I''d like to see more pictures of, especially from the side. As you probably know, this is a new style and I''ve only seen the pictures on the website. I''m trying to imagine how thick it is, and whether the edges are 90 degrees, or slightly rounded, or beveled. I''m sorry to be such a pain! If it''s too much trouble, I understand. They are very beautiful rings, though. Thank you.

I am in love with my ring so I have an embarassing amount of pics! None of my friends understand my obsession... one (not close) even said she was surprised I went with such a "plain" engagement ring!

But the style isn''t new... are you thinking of the Novo instead? At any rate, here are some more:

Last one for now... I know this has been mentioned before, but Signed Pieces is a great place to look if you want a real Tiffany and don''t mind having a pre-owned ring. That''s where I got mine and we were very pleased with the service and even more so with the price. My fiancee called and told them what we wanted and only 2 weeks later, we got a call that they had a ring within our specs.

Lisa:
Love your band! I am hoping to add a diamond band someday... sigh... I could do a LOT of damage at Tiffany! I would have to look at the papers for the specs of the stone, maybe I will get them out if I remember!

Dragon:
I will have to locate a ruler, sadly enough I don''t know if I have one with millimeters! I wouldn''t even know what to estimate it at.

Imdanny:
Here is a pic of the band, yes, it is a 2mm. I originally thought I would get the knife edge because they match but didn''t like the look of the knife edge alone. I haven''t taken one of the set together but here is the band:

Your engagement ring is beautiful and thank you for the picture of the 2mm Lucida too!

I''m sorry I wasn''t clear. I meant his flat band. Tiffany just added this style (at least it just showed up on the website) recently. I''m thinking of getting the 4 mm version in platinum. I''m thinking yours is the 6mm.

I see what you mean! I think you''re right, the 6mm plat flat band is relatively new. The rings are in a safe right now, or I would get a better picture! FI wears a size 11, and the ring is very very heavy. He liked that particular ring and although we looked around some, he already had his mind made up. After we got home, I looked at Blue Nile just to see what their prices were like for a similar band and the closest match (though not exact) was $50 more! Platinum is one expensive metal. Obviously we''re not married yet, so I can''t comment on the comfort or durability, but it''s a good-looking ring!

DMBgal82, thank you for your note. Your rings are very beautiful and I wish you both every happiness.

WOOOOOOW!!!

So Beautiful and I thought I was strictly a dimond girl w/ the occassional pink interest.

Is this a family heirloom?

LWD- That ring is fab! I love the side diamonds. You need to share the backstory!
