Hi everyone,
All you size 4 fingers out there can you show me your RB solitaires...please...looking at 2ct...do you think it''s too big?

Two carats isn''t too big as long as you have the confidence to pull it off! It also comes down to how the ring is set. A two-carat simple solitaire is very elegant for a younger woman and a more "blingy" setting on a mature woman. That''s just my take on it though. . .

I agree with MC. You can never go wrong with a classic solitaire, no matter what size!

Ring size: 4.75
Stone: AGS-0 2.36 RB - gorgeous diamond.

My finger is a 4 but the knuckle is a 5.75! I have an arthritic shank [it opens and closes] on my rings so they don''t spin. Here is the 6.89 carat RB

And the 6.39 [with an additional .55 carats in baguettes]. I apologize for the crappy cell phone pics but they will give you an idea of the size.

Holy Smokes, those rings are amazing!! Do you have a thread for those rings???

ETA: I don't see one. You should totally start one!!!! WOW, you have me floored!!!

Yes, I will start a thread. I have some other interesting pieces too. I did post the EC a while ago. I think it was before I got the RB so I''m not sure I posted that. Of course, it was in response to somebody else''s thread, not my own!

Hi November,
I Ended up with a 1.98 RB. SI 1 "I" . My finger ended up being a size 3.75, but since it''s been cold, it''s slipping off. My now, fiance, thought it would have looked bigger than what it really does...I agree, I don''t think it looks huge....but just right,,I guess our perception of a "2" carat was way off. I posted on the "I''m Engaged...here they are"........Sorry, I don''t know how to link.

.It''s a miracle I was able to post pictures.

Wow, what a beautiful 6+ carat RB. My jaw just dropped. It's absolutely downright gorgeous!
This is my 2.31 carat RB with channel set side stones. We just got engaged recently.
Ring size is 4.5 (though this pic might have been taken before I got the ring sized down to fit me.)

I guess it''s a matter of personal taste, but NOBODY could ever convince me that 2+carat is too big for ANY size finger. My size 4.75 paw is screaming for BIGGER. Here''s a pic of my 1.59ct rb solitaire with my 1.68ctw eternity wedding band.

Hi Louisvgirl,

It''s all a matter of personal taste. In my case, I agree with November, I have a size 4 finger as well and a 2ct. looked too big on me. But, that''s my personal opinion. I also tried on a 1.25 and a 1.6, I believe. My hubby said that the 1.6 looked great on me. So, that is the size I am hoping for my upgrade. 1.7 max probably. Maybe you should go to a store and try different sizes so you can have a better idea on what looks good and comfortable on you :) Good Luck!

CONGRATS on your engagement, November. Your ring looks GORGEOUS! I have the same size finger and that''s about the same size I am looking for for my upgrade (still waiting patiently :)). I felt the same way you did on a 2 ct stone. It was too big for me (in my opinion). But, to each her own. I know plenty of ladies here who can pull off huge, beautiful rocks.

size 4 - 1.06 ct

i don't think 2ct is too big if you are comfortable with it. also depends on where you are located b/c you might blend in or stick out with a 2ct. also with a size 4, a 2ct will look bigger. also depends on what kind of setting you have - some will make the diamond look bigger and some will make it look smaller.

a diamond engagement ring can never be too big!!

Here''s my 2.24 on 3.75 finger.
Sorry don''t know how to reattach pictures but here''s the link:

Nah...2 carats is not too big! My only caution is that with larger stones, the setting can get very high and can overwhelm small fingers.

Mine is around 1 carat, and I certainly would not mind bigger

I wear a size 3. Here are my rings!

I don''t think 2 carats is too big personally. It really depends upon the individual person and how they feel. Here is my old ER that I had set with an aquamarine that is pretty much the same mm size as a 2 carat. It is on a size 4.5 finger.

cmsolder01.jpg

My ring size is 4.5 and the center stone faces up as a 1.25 ct--much smaller than the two ct you desire. I would take a ct in a red-hot minute!! MC mentioned that a more mature woman might prefer more bling. I guess that would be true in my case
